Tract Toric Review | 4.5-30X56 ELR. So many great features for the money. I was skeptical of this new scope company, but I'm happy to be proven wrong. The Tract scopes are definitely worth a look! What is your experience with this product? Leave some comments below.

@PrecisionRifleNetwork how does it co.pmare to top of line athlon
@commonsense5709

Tract Toric ELR is better quality slightly better glass according to my own eyes and all moving parts and controls feel smoother and includes a matching sunshade and at least press fit lens covers while the Athlon Cronus BTR UHD doesn't even include a sunshade not anything to protect the lenses. If they're the same price with neither having a sale, buy the Tract Toric ELR unless you can buy the Cronus BTR UHD for at least $200-$300 cheaper. Another thing I noticed is my Cronus BTR UHD illuminated reticle only lights up half of one side while the other half is noticeably dimmer. The Tract Toric ELR has a perfect consistent illumination brightness throughout the entire reticle as it should be. The Athlon looked like an old Chinese Hawke Sidewinder scope that only half of one side of the reticle lit up when illumination was turned on. I've seen a RU-vid review with a newer Cronus BTR UHD with new style reticle light up bolder on half of one side similar to mine but his wasn't quite as bad.

Being as it is a bit of a PITA to order a scope direct from US to Cda, and having to buy sight unseen, it was a long process to work up the decision to order one, but, I did it, and it was well worth it now that I've used it a bit. Tract made it easy too, great instructions on what needed to be done to get one to Cda. Think I made the right choice, it has lived up to their word on it. I have a Delta as well, great scope, Tract's turrets are a hair better feel, Delta has a turn indicator which I like better, reticles are both very useable. Hard to go wrong on the LOW chassis based scopes, just a matter of what options you like.

I almost bought the Tract Toric 30mm tube but knew I wanted a 34mm tube to enable me to dial more elevation shoiting lo g range and ELR .It's clear & sharp and has the best push -pull locking turrets out there.Thanks Jon I love it

Question, I am using a Athlon Midas Tac 56mm scope, I have old eyes and would like to see those 300 yard targets a little clearer. I spend a lot of time deciding on a purchase in this price range and on up. I like the fact this has Shott glass and believe it would be a set up in glass quality over my 750 dollar scopes, it will be mounted on a high end 22lr. Should I possibly buy this scope or save my pennies for a higher tier scope, and if so, any recommendations, my budget isn't quite ZCO or Attcr range

Get a Meopta Optika 6 5-30x56 MRAD on sale for $699.99. It will blow you away compared to your Midas Tac. I'd rate it just behind the Tract Toric ELR but glass is close and also uses German Schott glass and the Meopta usually sells for $1260.

I've had a Tract Toric for about a year now and have shot multiple 2 day national level events with it and absolutely loved it! Considering buying another one so I don't have to switch it back and forth from my NRL rifle to my NRL Hunter rifle. I have not found a reticle that I like more in any other optic. I've heard people say they aren't crazy about the high turrets, but they are extremely smooth and the easiest to zero than any other scope I've used. Great glass and it tracks. In my opinion it is the biggest bang for your buck on the market.

$1600 was a bit more than I wanted to spend but I found a lightly used 4-20x50 model for just over a grand on the Hide. I've shot about a half-dozen local PRS matches with it now. I really like this scope for pretty much all of the same reasons you mentioned. The reticle is really quick and easy to use when under time pressure. The turrets are probably my favorite part. Well isn’t this targeted for ELD? It is nice to see your poi down range without having to use a separate spotting scope. Also that you can follow the bullet trace with this high magnification. For the price having tier 1 Schott glass with minimal aberrations, directly competes with my Schmidt Bender 3-20 Ultrashort. I see the reticle has a center dot that is illuminated. Is that dot daytime bright? From my Ultrashort’s low profile turrets to the very high turret of this Toric is a big difference. My S&B did cost double of this scope. I do want to buy it for it’s extended range and I’ll probably end up buying this. Thanks for your honest review with waiting to do this with your extensive use of it.

Value your opinion and curious what you think. I have a Tikka UPR 6.5 that I’m going to use as crossover rifle (Hunt/Long/PRS). I have a 2k Budget (Retired military discount in effect) I have been heavily leaning towards a Mark5 (light weight, pay premium to get illumination) Tremor 3 illuminated, because it’s their only illuminated reticle that would work for the this. The other is an Element Nexus (Lighter, better FOV, but non locking turrets and less mag.) Now I’m look at this Tract Toric (heavy weight, but has everything else). Kind of stuck and wanted your thoughts or if you know of other options you would recommend in my price range?
@PrecisionRifleNetwork
@PrecisionRifleNetwork 3 года назад
Hi. Thanks for watching sir! The Mark5 is a great choice of course, but I don’t think you have to spend that kind of money for a quality optic. Tract Toric is a good option. Brownells MPO is a good option at $999, although it’s non-illuminated. I’m a fan of the Vortex Viper PST Gen2 as well. It’s around $1000. The difference between the Vortex or Brownells glass and the Leupold is pretty noticeable however. You may be able to find a used Vortex Razor HD Gen2 or used Nightforce NXS for less than 2k on sites like Sniper’s Hide. Good luck on your quest. 👊

@@PrecisionRifleNetwork Which glass would you say is better when talking the vortex, leupold, brownells, tract? I’m looking at MK5 5-25 TREMOR 3 illuminated with rings sun shade, covers for around $2200, or the Tract 4.5-30 for around $1700....which would you pick in that scenario?
@PrecisionRifleNetwork
@PrecisionRifleNetwork 3 года назад
@@larrymayfield2142 If I had one word to describe the glass in the Leupold Mk5 is would be "bright." It just has a clear almost high def feel to it. The Tract is very close and I would say almost identical in terms of contrast, clarity, features, etc. I personally don't think there's an extra $500 worth of value in the Leupold socpe, but there's also something to be said for a larger, more established company with a good name like Leupold. The only real personal preference issue that I see is that the Tract has very tall turrets. I personally don't care for that. On tight barricades in PRS comps, those things will get beat up. The mk5 has lower profile turrets. My 2 cents sir.

Quit watching at 4:23 “$1,600.00 optic”. That’s out of my price range. Kinda wish that you would have lead off with that. “It’s a 4.5-30...... $1,600 msrp”

each to their own I guess. That's considered a mid-range optic price wise for many folks in the PRS. Thanks for watching.

Tract makes a great product. But I’m tired of brass turrets from know on it’s stainless steel turrets or nothing. Element optics. Nexus-helix-Titan I’m not knocking Tract optics. I’m knocking BRASS IS A SOFT METAL. Ck element optics. 2 years of reaching scopes that’s my conclusion just an opinion. But proven.

Thanks for watching and commenting sir. Just a word of warning...if I think you are spamming another product on my page, I'll delete your messages. One comment here was enough...you posted three. Just making sure.

Among myself and 4 shooting buddies don't think Element Optics have enough value for the dollar when we all compared from Helix to Titan to Nexus lines compared them all side by side with other brands available among the 5 of our collection of scopes in their respective price points. Element Optics appeared to offer an overall negative value for the dollar for what you actually get in all 3 of their lines. There are better options from other brands for the same prices if not cheaper. #1 most disappointing was the $799 Titan then the #2 disappointment was the $1499 Nexus and $459 Helix. We tried them all. These disappointments were solely based on price for what we got.

If the Nexus was prices at $900 it would probably be worth it IMHO for a 5-20x50 30mm scope. Does yours have purple fringing at 20x?
