I really like these machines. I have s Craftsman with the Kohler Command and the manual transmission. The biggest thing I dislike about trying to repaint them is dealing with rust, because they were factory powder coated rather than painted, the rust doesn’t bubble through the paint; it spreads under it. So, a small rust bubble in the powder coat can actually be 4 inches of rust growing under there. Powder coat is no fun to strip off and even worse to try to feather sand down for repainting!
