The great thing about these restoration videos is that they become an archive for this model tractor. Anyone who owns this can come here and learn all the nuts and bolts, reference part locations and just general information for this platform. This is a great service you are doing. Thanks Pete

As a 58 year old Australian from a small city with no farming experience that has no interest in tractors I have to say I wouldn't miss one minute of any episode. Pete I'm no expert but I'd be willing to bet that you're the first person to go that deep into that tractor since it was assembled. I'd love to see a group photo of the guys that put it together! Love watching your videos, whether its animals or tractors! Thank you for what you do!!

Pete must feel like a tractor archeologist, some of those bolts haven't been touched by human hands since it was assembled in the factory. He honors the good folks who built it with his careful work.

I had to stop watch it many times. I couldn´t ear that poor tractor crying as it was slowly dying, piece removal one after an other. Stop ! Stop Pete ! It said. Wasn´t a good tractor for you all these years ? Didn´t i always carry chores you ask me ? Didn´t i always carry you wherever you wanted to ? Poor guy. It doesn´t know that when it will ressucite from ER, it will be almost a brand new kid. Good gor an other 40 years ? Of course it doesn´t know. But it will. Oh ya it will !! Thanks Pete. Always hearthwarming to see you working hard to bring back youth to a machine.

Your show today reminded me of when I was ten or so; I used to go to the neighboring farm to do hay baling and odd jobs for the farmer, also named "Pete." He used to do the same thing you are doing to his tractors. I loved watching him fix his 4010s and 4020s. He even had a 9N that I mostly used. You always bring me good memories, and I thank you for that.

Last year I changed the air filter in my riding lawn mower and thought it was a genius move...then I watch Pete take apart a tractor and I wonder "how on earth does he keep track of all those bolts, wires and parts" It fascinates me. almost like watching someone throw a 5000 piece puzzle in the air and then put it back together again...facinating!!! I love it!

Hi Pete. As much as I love the animals and general farm work, I sure do love to see some good old fashioned work on machinery going on. I really enjoy these series when you do them. THanks for sharing with us. On a side note, you know how one can tell when a 3 year old's grandpa is a subscriber or loyal watcher of Just a Few Acres Farm? Well, very quick short story. So I am sitting at my kitchen table enjoying a cup of coffee when out of the blue I hear "Come on cows... Come on!" . I was like uhh what? Then he said it again! ha ha!!! I heard a stampede in my house of our 3 dogs coming full steam to him. I turn and look in full laughter and he has a handful of dog food hand feeding them like they are treats. I sat there and laughed and laughed and laughed. Come on cows ...... I absolutely loved it! I watch a load of farm channels (as well as other general channels) and not a once has he ever quoted a content creator. I was kind of tickled that he chose Pete. I always said this is good old fashioned content the entire family can get in on in some fashion or the other. I think I found his passion for Just a few acres Farm; Pete and calling his cows! Take care all and stay warm!

It amazes me that this tractor started out as an idea, then everything on this tractor had to be drawn on paper - no computers, all the parts sent out for fabrication, assembly and testing. The amount of people making this tractor work were truly amazing. True craftsmanship for sure.

Then you drive a tractor from the house to the shop (it hilarious cuz its like 20ft away....lol). Just so we know everything is A ok on the farm while we are absorbed with watching you teardown the 856. Love from Auburn

You have quite the list there my friend. I’m certain it’ll grow considerably! Lol You fix things a lot like I do, we like things to work like they were originally intended, and we’ll go the extra mile to make sure that they do. I personally like that old girl. I bought a 1206 13 years ago to rebuild and use, but I needed money to make some annual payments on some new hay implements that I had purchased previously so I had to let it go to help cover those. The equipment making the money had to come before my dreams. Lol but I’m super partial to those tractors from the late 60s and early 70s, and I’d like to get a 966 one of these days. Great video and I’m looking forward to the education we’re going to receive watching your program. Thank you Sir!

I am not what you would call any sort of expert at anything but I have messed with all sorts of stuff. I am at 10 minutes and I have seen no stripped heads or threads or frustated swearing. By now I would have either given up, not that I would have started, or burred a bolt head so bad drilling it out would be my next option. I have both admiration for people like Pete and envy that my brain won't absorb the technical know how to accomplish such tasks.
