In the past two seasons, the Canucks have gone through an incredible turnaround. Jim Rutherford inherited a team with no clear identity, a weak management group, and no practice facility to call home. He has made many proclamations over the course of his tenure with the Canucks. In this video, I revisit some of these claims and judge whether or not they have been fulfilled.

The only time I can give Benning credit for is drafting Demko, Boeser, Pettersson, Hughes, and getting JT Miller from Tampa Bay. Although I've learned most recently that Trevor Linden and their scouts really pushed Benning to get Pettersson 2017.

@@sanaon7453 In other words Benning acquired the core of the current team, all The Canuck's All-Stars. Piling on Benning is unfair and unproductive. He made some really bad moves too, but this first place team is built on what he did.

Petey, Hughes, Miller and Boeser have been together for 4 years or more. Theyve been through the ups and downs, its the teams that have been together for a long time that go far in the playoffs.

No one should give a shit about affirmative action BS. Doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman as long as you're the right person for the job. I hated that cringe claim from him and i think it was just virtue signaling to try to get Vancouvers leftwing fans on his side, but he's ultimately done a good job. Solid analysis video

Why can't they build a practice facility above Parking Indigo Lot 38 next to Rogers Place? By having two maybe even three level parkade instead of current open space double/triple the parking capacity. By building the hockey rink above the parkade gives Canucks the space stretching across Pat Quinn way and connect to main arena.

I don't really think of Rutherford as a Penguin, Tocchet either. Sure they worked/played for them but they're not bleeding Penguins colors. I'm stunned they've been able to escape some of these bad contracts.
