Potatoes contain a lot of potassium and vitamin C. If you steam them and refrigerate them, taking them out for sautéing or use in recipes they have resistance starch and are healthier than just cooking and eating them. The same is true of rice.
I have planned days during the holidays where i have no rules. This works for me. I dont over eat on thise days because that is just painful, but i also do not watch what i eat. During my 1, 5 week holiday i have 2 ir 3 days "off". The rest of the tine i eat and live just like normal but take advantage of the time of work to get in as much movement and rest as i possibly can❤ instead of hitting januar exhausted and saf I come out on the other side rested, feeling better. Its worth it 100%.
Oh yea good idea. I do have a vegetarian meal plan that can help! It's definitely harder to get all of the right proteins without overdoing carbs - balance is for sure important for vegetarians 🫶🏻
Red velvet cake, cinnamon rolls, and snickerdoodle cookies are my absolute favorite! Also all the truffles and various little chocolates get me too at parties!! 😂
I also found a really great recipe with siete tortillas, 3 eggs, cottage cheese, spinach, veggies & sprinkle cheese & bake it 30 minutes at 350 & it’s delicious
Pecan sticky rolls are a real holiday addiction for me 😅 thanks for the great options! I'm not close to a TJ but atleast I know what to look for in stores near me! Psyched for the holiday challenge ❤
I love your videos! I needed a little nudge to step away from the holiday treats and your healthy swaps are just the thing I need. I have your Holiday Survival guide and it’s such a help!
Great video thank you 😊 I vote for a DF/GF tart or pie even a holiday sundae! 😋 Breakfast casserole without meat and that’s Dairy & Gluten free would be fabulous for our family.
I am new and I love Trader Joe’s. Found your channel today and subscribed. Sadly closest one is 3 hours away so we only go a few times a year. I have been on a health journey for 4 years and have lost 264 pounds. Working on my last 50.
We do eat with my family-in-law some great Italian desserts: panettone, pandoro (both of them being cakes which are made of brioche-like dough), and tons of fruits. Same principle is followed about mains and sides, Italian 100%
Thank you, Katie, for sharing these great finds at Trader Joe's. I have the turkey, the cauliflower and broccoli, the sweet potatoes and sprinkles are on my list. I like to make the sweet potatoes with a little cinnamon, drizzle some coconut nectar and sprinkle the top with pomegranate seeds. I'd like to make a healthier version of the peanut butter blossoms snicker doodles and the peppermint bark!
Yes to this! I wonder if i could find similar options at Whole Foods🤔 As for desserts, I LOVE gingerbread molasses cookies! Or if you could make Starbucks' gingerbread loaf healthier - that would be amazing! Save me some calories AND money!😂👍🙌 Love your videos Katie!!🧡🤎
New subscriber here!!! I'm excited about your channel. I have somehow put on extra weight....ugh really feeling down about it. Time to get back in gear. ❤
The German cookies Pfeffernusse at Trader Joe’s are so good. They are iced gingerbread cookies they look like snowballs but they are soft and go great with hot apple cinder maybe even with a shot with French Brandy from there, not sure it’s the healthiest but very good combo for holiday dessert or entertaining.
The pumpkin spiced joe-joes are my favorite. They also have a holiday joe-joe variety box with a ginger snap joe-joe that is insanely good. Basically, The inventor of the joe-joe keeps me coming back to TJ’s and takes all my $$$ 😅
Hello! I am new! I have hypothyroidism as of last year and your videos are so inspirational! Especially now that I am 6 months pregnant and I just want SUGAR! lol. Thank you for your positivity and sweet girl vibes! I adore it!
Any type of cookie is my biggest weakness!! Side note: your skin looks AMAZING!! Can you do a skincare video (particularly what you do to keep away fine lines and crow's feet)? I think I'm 2 years older than you are, but I feel like I'm developing a lot of fine lines around my eyes, and I'm not a fan of it. Plus, I think it's making me look older than I am. Any tips or links to the products you use and love would be great!
Aw thank you!! Ok biggest thing for sure is my Natural Beauty drink! You need to try it! Then I started a new night skincare routine I think it helping too so I'll share that soon!
