Nice episode! The PSA 2 Mantle looks like it has a dinged upper left corner. The 4 looks to have better corners and better surface. A dinged corner makes my choice the 4. I agree that SGC brand will go away eventually, 2-3 years from now. Awesome historical photo of Clemente with the Missing note. I would get the Clemente slabbed before selling it.
It’s a tremendous piece. I like the idea of donating it. Clemente’s children are active in Pittsburgh, especially his son , Roberto Clemente Jr. - He is engaged with the Museum here in Pittsburgh. Maybe reach out to him to share this amazing photo with him?
For me, with some cards the centering is way more important than other cards. The 52 Mantle has a very defined black border which in that case to me the centering is way more important. Then there are cards whose borders are not very defined. In those cases centering is way less important. All that being said gimme the PSA 2 Mantle. Love the Clemente photo. Would definitely keep it and put it in my own baseball “museum”.
