Nat Hudson (regardless of if he is in the hall of fame) is the best looking card in the set. His uniform says St. Louis, at a time in the game when letters and words weren’t on many uniforms and the hat is tremendous. Great collection Leighton!
Pretty sure that gloves were optional for players in the 19th century... they were originally thin, skin-protectors... padded gloves don't come along until end of the century
cool older cards… what do you call those ? I always here pre-war, vintage, modern, ultra modern…. what are the 19th century cards called ? pre-war does not sound right for 1800 cards...
I see these cards and get so curious about the people who: 1 - pulled them out of cigarette packs 2 - kids who begged for them 3 - child factory workers who smoked Cool video!
