I am a Marwari who stayed in Guwahati for a while.Just want to state that the greenery there is so eye soothing.Beautiful place and wonderful hospitality. Not being a tharki but IMO the girls are more cuter than the rest of the country.
David, I think it’s awesome that you go to the inner cities, show their secrets, way of life, foods etc..After all, we (the inner city) is what makes the world interesting. Finally welcome to Assam. For so many days you were living in Guwahati but due to the cosmopolitan nature of the city you were deprieved of real assamese things. Now finally you are being introduced with it.. but just remember this is just the introduction.. there are much more to the assamese tradition, culture and food and that you will experience by going to the rural parts of assam and not by staying in the capital city. However Guwahati is nice though in a different way. So enjoy !!!
Finally you tried a REAL Assamese thali😍 good to know that you liked it.. but I would prefer to have one curry ( fish/ pigeon/ mutton) at a time, because otherwise you won't get the proper taste.
Whoa! Amazing video, David! The thali looks really good. ❤ And you're right, Indians are really good at eating around the bones. In case, fish bones get stuck inside our throat, we(Assamese) gulp down steamed rice without chewing. Lol
People criticizing this girl , will learn a lesson call "PATIENCE".. But no matter what i always love how david appreciates everything and we should appreciate his efforts too and stop complaining about anything and just enjoy the video.
i knew dat he tried Assamese thali from his insta bt still she should have showed him all the authentic places nd food frm here instead of same puri sabji nd chole pitha nd all types of things could have been showed
Wow trolling the trolls ...nice...well done...good for you ...feeling ecstatic now?..good about yourself?? ..on cloud 9 now???..you missed the most important reason y she is being trolled though....she is one of the examples of wat ultra modernism does, makes you forget your roots...she has become so westernized and pro mainstream Indian that she forgot he is already a westerner and someone who has eaten mainstream Indian foods already n that's y he visited ne...now where are Assams authentic dishes, forget the meat, but where are the pithas, bhootjolokia achar etc...last mentionable opinion, check out David's videos with Paul in meghalaya n you will know what a real guide does,, she was just a smooch...so sorry like minded smooch

@@urvi9953 I admit I dont know everything about assam or even my own hometown...so I dont go around saying that I know, now you are going to say that she that she didn't say it either, fine but let me ask you this, what was her job? To be a guide right...would you be happy with the type of job she had done?...she basically just took him to the places she wanted to go, not where he needed to go...that's the main reason people are trolling her, infact this is the first video where David had actually tasted assamese food, tell me how is a dhaba a part of assamese culture?...these are the reasons people are trolling her for she deserves to be trolled..put yourself in David's place and tell me would you have been happy with her job? Actually these temple was made by Asura the first dynasty of Assam. They had magical powers and the temple was made overnight to win the love of KAMAKHYA DIETY....
Rollins Northeast Rider Dude, the Navagraha Temple was made by Rajeshwar Singha of the Ahom Dynasty, Kamakhya Temple was said to be built by the Asura King and common folklore tells of this story of winning Maa Kamakhya's love. Don't mix it up, both are different temples.
9 planet temple is called Nobogroho mandir in assamese language. in Assam we directly eat food on the brass plate ,we donot use banana leaf. the brass plate is called kahor kahi n bowl is called kahor bati. u ate perfectly with ur hand.😊 we basically eat pounded rice mix well with curd,honey or jaggery,ghee .😊🙏 jai maa kamakhya🙏 u could have tried duck curry also .😊 do try next rym when u revisit

some people criticizing her really i don't know why?she is beautiful and intelligent look how she talks we Indian saying saab jee to white man and kicking back our own kind.David saab jee you are doing good job but please from time to time make some videos about Indian achievement in other fields too.India has so much to offer not only food.

there are places which can be said authentic nd as assam is a mix people tribe place so a lot lot r here to try instead of waisting time in such things those places shud have been tried hoping in future for dat type of videos bt less chance
places like mishing kitchen raja mircha jarow ordab manipuri basti restros nd also rabha kitchen khorika nagameez gams delicasy for real foods coz he cn taste the Meghalaya food in shillong . .he went there he had blood sausages there i hope he had jadoh too
