Mustamakkara and Ryynimakkara from Tavastia ..... et. .... etc . FINLAND IS not a poor man's Pizzeria or a Hamburger kiosk.
When you go to restaurant and order dessert or coffee or whatever you decide to have last, ask for the bill at same time. Then you pay the bill and can leave when ever you want without waiting for the bill later because that is the thing you often need to wait for long time (getting waitress attention and actually them to bring the bill). Also in Finland casual clothes are fine in 98% of restaurants.
Only way to proper eat Karelian pie is to have egg butter on it. A lots of it. Anything else is a blashemy and is therefore punishable by horrendous ways.
I'm not a big fan of fish, but a proper salmon soup is The. Fucking. Bomb. Just get some good rye bread with a nice spread of salty butter on it on the side and go to town.
Not sure if this is the correct on but one frozen karelian pie tastes so good. it is raw so you need to put it in the oven. from S- group shops. best served after oven and you brush it with melted butter and let it rest under a cloth.
