So the city scraps all the available street parking so people can’t conduct business. Very few new developments in the city have carved out any pickup or drop-off areas for rideshare/taxi, so the only choice is to double park while the passenger takes their sweet time. The city is actively Trying to make traffic worse in the hope that people quit driving. Then those of us who have driving jobs get to be the most miserable.
Boston should start reading plates like on the Turnpike and charge people for driving into congrsted areas..Ya..to cut down on people driving in and clogging roads..when they coukdveasily have taken the T
Agree to disagree. It’s the private vehicles that don’t belong. Boston is a very walkable or bikeable city. Duck Boats, trollies, and other actually useful tourist attractions like that have more right to there than the cars.
There's no reason for food deliveries to be made by car. I made it around faster in most of Boston proper with an ebike for my short time doing deliveries.
There is no real solution for this. You're adding basically a bus to all the busy Boston road ways, especially downtown area. They're already over congested. I don't think there's much that anyone can do about this, other than to wait for duckboat season to end? It must end in, what, September? What c Else can you do? Nothing.
