It's very interesting to listen to the officers go back and forth about strategy, tell each other to calm down, get stressed or stay in control... there's a bunch of different personalities trying to handle the one critical situation ....
@@lisae3663 I was thinking the same thing from the beginning when the Officer driving told the man to show him his hands. I’m not sure why the other Officer said “Relax, relax, relax….”…and then audibly sighed. The only thing, IMO, the driving Officer did was not remain calm (of course…due to the details they have been given) and he displayed his weapon. Again, IMO, he should have kept his weapon out of sight and act like it was a normal traffic stop. The senior Officer should have taken over at this point and said as such…a fast release of adrenaline and endorphins hinder a person’s ability to make decisions and even senior Officers make mistakes for the same reason. Once the perpetrator sensed the tension and saw a weapon he then took off probably thinking he has nothing to lose because he was going to jail so thought he’d go out in a blaze of glory…I watch many of these videos and served in the military for 18 years with a tour of Iraq therefore have seen how differently people react to differing situations. It’s called being human 🤷🏼♀️. I take my hat off to Law enforcement and first responders…the devastation and situations they deal with can be traumatising.
Except when you hear their titles…. One was a *SERGEANT* and another was a *CORPORAL* a military officer? Why he was there? I have no clue. Lmao horrendous teamwork. I can’t imagine how terrified the victim found in the trunk, was. What on earth did they do to her? What the hell happened?
@@novakitty1619 I take it you haven't watched many videos with them then? They all seem to have the capability of making all the wailing, whining, screeching, and crying noises on demand, and switching it off instantly when they want something, but notice something strange in every case? Listen to her again when they pulled her out of the car and while they were searching her - the hysterical crying, the deep sobbing, the rattling breathing, the helpless/victim tone in her voice, but listen when she talked about her inside jacket - sobbing and crying switches to calm normal talking without a care, and then back to sobbing and crying after she said it. Not to mention how long they can continue to "cry" hysterically. Then look at her face when she is turned away from the car....do you see one single tear on her face? One? With all that weeping and gnashing of teeth, not a bit of moisture anywhere? It's just a ploy to make them appear a victim, it's also an excuse they can use to act crazy with the cops - the are SO emotionally distraught that they couldn't help how they acted. Notice her face, too, when they asked her about the body in the trunk. Straightened up right quick didn't it? And if the cops don't accept the phony hysterics, then they call the cops rude racists that are disrespecting them!
I remember this! I had mutual friends with Dominique, though I never met her. When I first found out she passed, the Facebook post were so loving. When I found out what happened it made me sick.
The fact that the police didn't even try to get her out of the trunk and immediately recognized her as deceased indicates that she must have already been quite decomposed too...probably been in there for over 8 days.
In Australia we have a new DV law. All violent DV abusers will have to wear an ankle monitor if given bail. They will be monitored 24/7. If they go anywhere near their victim police will be on their tails.
Dude, I saw a news video the other day about a judge that didn’t want to “traumatize” the criminal by putting him in jail after he was pretty much complicit in a killing of an innocent person…so he then stole a car…and was arrested again
Bless that lady officer, "I ain't telling ya you've got to calm down, I'm telling you you gotta breathe." She was a wonderful comforter in an extreme stress situation.
These cops deal with the worst of humanity every single day. The stress must be unbelievable. Much respect to these guys and the work they do every day
You're right, and unfortunately it leads to them having an "us versus them" mentality where they look at EVERYONE in the public as a criminal. They don't know how to turn it off. Police need more psychological evaluation, both before they are hired and during their careers.
@@zedmakI'm sure they do. My daughter is LEO. She is going to training for this or that all the time. The stress they are under, they are evaluated for everything. Making sure they are good.
What court thought it a good idea that Dominique could have peaceful contact?? with a history of violence?? Congrats to them for that ridiculous plan that took Eleni's life. Domestic violence is real and the courts should have protected the victim.
It's more about the rights of the criminal than the potential victim, sadly. My daughter tried to get a restraining order on an ex boyfriend because his behavior was escalating and they literally laughed at her. So I nipped it in the bud. It's a long story. He moved on down the road intact.
Not only is this absolutely wild but the bodycam shows what immense stress the officers go through and what an amazing job most of them do. Hats off to the officers who dealt with this.
@@diligentsun1154 many things that happen in the US seem that way to me tbh (although I find it interesting as an outsider). For example our cops would likely call off a high speed chase due to public safety in many cases because there's not much need to pursue, our roads are often twisty, there's lots of pedestrian and public transport, being a smaller country means it's easier to catch people afterwards (again though when a persons life is in immediate danger they would pursue, likely from a distance and then block further ahead) plus there's many restrictions on guns, especially handguns, meaning they aren't very prevalent here. Guns are mostly used for hunting, sports like gun clubs or clay pigeon shooting and pest control on farms since people need to have a "good reason" to have one and self-defence isn't a reason here. Our biggest issues are social and legal problems caused by alcohol and drugs but we've had that masochist streak for a long time, I blame the weather lol

@@Pixeleyes BS again. I am getting so tired of people just making s it up. There are plently of video of victims who got traumatized and go from calm to wailing to calm to crying and so forth.
The officer from whose perspective this footage was filmed was SOO incredibly kind to Wynter. She was in visible distress and the officer was as gentle and kind with her as he could be in that awful situation, especially when she was crying and he put his hand on her back. I can’t even begin to imagine how scary that situation must have been for everyone involved, but it’s kind and compassionate police officers that our communities need to not only keep them running, but also spread love and kindness in the communities they serve.
I agree I felt the same way about those officers How hard was that situation- not known enough what was going on .. but they deserve the medals . And appreciation from us - all of us - we proud of our officers- this is the responsibility of highest level officers and we should understand them - how hard their jobs are always. Be kind and respectful compassionate towards them as well . Thank you 🙏
When I was a cop in Brooklyn we stopped a van for a traffic violation. It was summer. As we approached there was that undeniable smell of a dead body. The driver said it was his roommate and didn’t know what to do with the body, so wrapped it in plastic and was driving around. Handed it off to the detectives for further investigation. So many non believers. Ask cops the stuff they see, people without time in streets talking from the safety behind the keyboard who never experience the harsh reality of the world.
@mattck92 why? Grief is wild. There was a woman who had a severely disabled son who after 17 long years finally passed away and in her grief she loaded him up and walked him around the next town over to all his favorite places and people just thought he was sleeping. She isn't even insane, just had a moment of intense grief. She wasn't arrested, either.

Sooo Dominique who is a stud really thought it was a smart idea to get pregnant to lessen her charge…. While they had a whole dead body in the trunk of the car…. That is some nasty work 🤦🏾♂️. Wynter should be guilty by association

the officers turned their cameras off because they were involved in the shooting and therefor not part of the investigation anymore. they are gonna sit in a car for some time and then go on administrative leave. they shouldnt discuss what happend with each other because it could change how they remember what happend. there is nothing to hide as it is all on camera anyway. idk what you guys are thinking. you literally saw the video.
To be fair, that was not obvious in the video at all. I legit had no idea why they were saying to turn the cameras off to certain officers but thought it might be because they needed to walk away after seeing the driver dead? I didn't think it was to hide anything since there were other cameras still on
His old RU-vid channel is still up. He used to be called JimCantSwim. I highly recommend watching his old stuff. He went into also more detail including in depth police interviews.
@@fatonyalmitchell3281 she was with her for a few days and tried to help her get rid of the body and cover up the crime as well as coming up with schemes for her to get pregnant to try and lessen the punishment for her crimes.. She absolutely is not a victim in this case, she's guilty after the fact and should have been charged for something like tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse, etc.. Stop making excuses for criminals
Yeah that should be a crime, tampering with evidence. Definitely don't agree with muting or shutting off body cameras while on the scene. They should not be allowed to mess with the camera at all. They can always edit out or mute stuff that they don't want the public to hear (police tactics or personal info), so that's not an excuse
Until they write out an official statement of the incident, they should not be rehashing what happened verbally on the body cam of the first officers on scene. Because all of that is viewable if it went to court, and if they said things happened in the wrong way or order before they have time to calm down and go through what actually happened, there could potentially be a liability issue or a lot of back and forth explaining in court of "why did you say this" or "you said it happened this way, but then said it happened another way", etc. The whole incident is on camera, nothing that comes after, with the cops talking to their Sgt, needs to be filmed unless they are still interacting with the subjects or the crime scene.
Body cam rules differ by jurisdiction. Im guessing that this one has a rule negotiated by the union that body cams will be turned off during any investigation or accumulation of information for an investigation into an officer. Since an officer used force (fired weapon) and may be responsible for the death of the driver (though it is unlikely)...the CO has to begin an investigation. That investigation will determine (1) if the officer killed the subject and (2) if the use of force was justified or unjustified. Again...likely a rule to turn of body as during the collection of evidence for that seco day investigation and likely negotiated by the officers union.
@@horaceball5418 reparations is such an unimportant issue. An that doesn't mean checks for everyone. It's only for victims of Black Wall Street and incidents like it.
Why turn off the cameras though? Im not saying it is suspicious, I just think it looks like theyre hiding something, no good can come from turning them off, if you want to improve your relationship with the public, doing stuff like this, doesnt help! It makes you look shady!
Is this is your first police body cam video? Cops are always instructed to turn off their cameras after a shooting incident to protect their own rights from self-incrimination because they're the ones now under investigation.
That first cop that was driving needs to learn to try to stay calm during situations. When they first stopped the car and were giving orders, he was already screaming and acting crazy. His partner had to tell him to relax and get him refocused. This is the type of cop that is scared and will kill innocent people.
Probably new from training, and this was his first big thing, and it was a super hectic first thing. Dead body, unable to access the vehicle, driver armed, passenger a victim, both pinned in the car, being shot at. A lot is going on. This was good training. He was still cool headed enough to act with reason and even hear his partners guidance. If he was unhinged, he would have just started unloading and doing all sorts of crazy stuff. He's clearly cut out for the job but had a stressful encounter.
They haven't been innocent babies for many years. The life of a young mother ( who had an innocent child in the now)was taken. It's too bad the mother chose to experiment with the murderer.

@@andyhodge9703 they have a shooter in the drivers seat, possibly a hostage, and they can't see anything. I'd like to know what you would do in that situation.
It's to preserve the officers' rights. He discharged a weapon and is now part of an investigation. Other officers are there to keep recording going. He has his right to remain silent and not incriminate himself via video. Even if it was justified, that's basic procedure. Turning it off if you're the only one on scene would be wrong. He kept it on until he was relieved.
@@redtez no. Everything until he was told to turn it off was still him as an officer and an investigator at the time technically. Only when he was relieved of that duty and became part of the investigation did anything he say matter. It's tricky for cops in that situation. Usually, they get their rights when the camera is off or the audio is cut once they go to their car.

So the passenger saw the body, touched it, know that Domique killed her...say or do nothing...she help Diminique and she is NOT prosecuted for facts after murder ???
I don't think she was involved in the murder. I agree there should be consequences for reporting, but maybe it's a bit easy to say "oh, I would have reported it and I would have done much better." I don't think most people really know how they'd react if a close friend would show up with a body and tell them they killed that person. Not saying that you shouldn't report it (you absolutely should do that as soon as possible), but you have to agree that this can be a bit difficult if you always thought only the best from your friend and then you're confronted with this without any warning or time to think about what to do.
It appears the pursuit was going to be terminated due to slippery road conditions. Just as they're about to initiate that call (listen to radio comms between the primary & dispatcher), the suspect vehicle lost traction, and skidded off the roadway, hitting the vehicle in front of the house. The impact was hard enough to cause the trunk to pop open. The murderer/driver realized the odds were stacked against her, so she offed herself. The slippery road conditions hindered a speedy response from the backup officers and the EMS. EMS had to stage off at a safe distance, until the scene was fully secured. JMO
Emergency services (fire, rescue, medical) aren't allowed on scene until it is secure, i.e. all suspects are searched and handcuffed or all threats eliminated. Most leos have some basic medical training and will sometimes drive people to the ambulance, usually parked just off scene, or the hospital. Hope this helps!

@alcerdghost954 the driver was worried cause the suspect wasn't showing both hands. Suspect also shot at officers and then himself later. Driver officer had every right to be that way and passenger officer is gonna have a memorial for himself sooner rather than later with that kind of mentality.

Today I learned that some people who murder their ex try to get pregnant just to create more sympathy for themselves. Kinda like Wynters emotional smokescreen to deflect away from the victim and her murderer in the car
A few years ago at manager training course, where people had hotel rooms but were two to a room (separate beds, single sex) there was a case where one participant died in her sleep. She had a heart condition, but had been “fine” before light out. Her roommate got up, got ready, went to shake her awake…. But she was already stiff and blue. Yea. She called her store manager in a panic realizing her room mate was deceased. Her manager told her to call 911….THEN call her back ASAP. The 3 day meet was extended to 4 so everyone could deal with the emotional trauma and interviews with officers. When I met the teacher for the course he made a “bad” joke about it asking us ALL to come back the next time morning alive please. Dark humor some helps with sanity sometimes. Not to be rude to the dead, but to deal with a slight brush with Death before our time….

It's easy to see how this would he misconstrued in the moment. officer should have stated "rear windshield" or something (which would be hard in a high pressure moment) back window means passenger window. above the trunk isn't heard in the heat of the moment.
She wasn't an accomplice to murder tho, as the victim was killed prior to the killer visiting her in the car, looking for help. Accessory *after the fact*, perhaps, but if all she did was see the body and drive around and didn't help in disposing of the body or evidence, maybe it's not a crime. It may not be criminal in her state for not calling the police with knowledge of a murder, idk, but def not accessory to murder. JS

why do you think that when people import tigers into civilization they put them in enclosures at zoos? i say, leave them in their natural habitat. i'd rather the streets be crawling with venomous snakes and gorillas than some "people". home is where the heart is.
One watches so many crime shows on TV, it's difficult to realise that people actually live like this. Life and love just seem to lack real value to these people - passions may run high but their love is selfish and toxic. Wynter's wailing and moaning is a case in point - histrionics are pathetic and dishonest. The poor dead woman and a motherless child never factored into her despair.

So much panic from the police; nobody in charge, seems like all their training to handle situations went out the window. The police guy who told them to turn off their cameras should be dismissed immediately.
Probably in case there was anything potentially wrong with the shooting (since one of the officers fired his weapon) the police officer doesn't incriminate himself.
They debrief later at the station, possibly even separately, and they may have wanted to clarify certain details before they spoke. Skilled criminal lawyers love getting one cop in a misstatement in the heat of a difficult environment like a shootout.
They’ll be reprimanded but a reprimand will do f’all. Nothing good was happening there that’s for sure. The fact that all of them went along with it too, is really troubling.
Probably because she didn't. She was, however, aiding and abetting, and probably a few other possible charges. The point remains though, how was she not charged with anything?
They weren’t scared. They can't get to her. They aren't EMS, and they would have to somehow get her out. She has a gsw to the head, and it's clear they can't really do anything. What do you think they should have done?
she wasn't wearing gloves so her prints would be on the gun, I'm assuming they would have thought of this. also she was shot from the chin up as mentioned in the video, difficult to do from the passenger seat unless self inflicted.
My only thing with this is, the cop said he shot through the back window in response to being shot at. My problem with that is if someone was kidnapped and trapped in the car like officers initially believed, they could have killed the kidnapped person.
I didn't think I could get shocked by this stuff any more... but the fact that she tried to get pregnant by some stranger to soften the repercussions got me. That's so crazy I could never even have imagined it.

Always surprises me that US police car equipment doesn't seem standardised? Officers in high-pressure situations are always asking who has a rifle, who has a shield, who has a halligan, a fingerprint scanner in their car as if they're totally randomly distributed. If one has them, shouldn't they all have them as standard!?
Equipment isn't standardized because not everyone needs one of everything. More to the point, a lot of that shit is expensive. And not everyone is trained on it. Where ever you're from, I strongly doubt that your cops all carry identical kit, but if they do, it shows the limits of their training. Something else people in other countries don't think about is a lot of the neat gadgety bits you see in these videos is approved by the department, but owned by the officers.
