Your the best your knowledge is so spot on ppl just have to know their dog. Iv had to use the lead option on the dog that was locked on to mine it worked spot on. I didn't want to do it but the owner freaked out and was yelling and punching his dog so I took control and everything worked out good. My dog ended up with cuts and puncher wound but is good now thanks for your great content
My brothers dog is food aggressive and would fight with my dog. My dog about killed his dog. We seperate when feeding. I thought my wrist was broke, his dog bit me so hard. I was so scared. After that my brother would not let my pit at his house.My dog was protecing himself.
People just need to accept and admit that these dogs are naturally aggressive and it takes way more than showing the dog love and making them a indoor dog (you’re average dog owner)to ensure that their aggression doesn’t come out on people/other dogs. Yes I own a apbt ( a real pitbull, not a bully)and a standard type abd.
my girl is only 1 years old and she is well trained and well mannered gets along with other dogs and other people & always take her to different settings to socialize her. it's bout how you raise them and things to do with them to stimulate their brain. a Tired dog is a happy dog. these type of breeds are working and high prey drive and gotta do things with them
I do not have pitts but sleeping beside me is a Catahoula Leopard dog I also have a Treeing Walker the catahoula is a breed made to hunt wild hogs like the Walker very stuborn and independant A man was killed by his own two Catahoulas you have to have your doga trust. They have never fought each other but they engage the coyotes often.
I have good hopes for the bully breed. There are plenty of great bully breeders out there concentrating for stable temperaments being number one instead of concentrating on being exotic. I’m no breeder but I know it takes generations and generations to establish a consistent bloodline at least. What I’m getting at is breeding for looks you are essentially not caring or forgetting about temperament and personality. It’s pretty concerning when a breeders of any breed really has already chosen which pup to breed out of a litter based out its coat or waiting before adulthood just based out of looks, not even going through temperament tests and seeing what that dog is really about before breeding it. Shoot I’ve been noticing even golden retrievers having short fuses with other dogs. People gave got to realize the bully breed is new and the majority of bullies where bred for looks that’s a real fact….
So true. I’ve seen they are doing the same with American Bully mutts in the UK. It’s almost always poorly bred mutts that do this and most of the time it is from people mistreating those dogs throughout their lives. Because of the high demand and price for established and well mannered lines a lot of people would be outcrossing with these unstable Pitbull terrier mutts with no pedigrees. When you don’t keep track of the line and temperament and people are breeding simply to make a buck from the exploding demand these things can easily happen. Also the fact that people had to import a lot of American Bully from the USA initially and extreme expense of getting good dogs to start a breeding program further incentivized this. Now in the UK they have a draconian, extremely broad ban on “American Bully type dogs.
Also, even if a purebred American Bully from a well established, we’ll known live with a consistently proven well know temperament, some people just shouldn’t have dogs and mistreat theme. I know a guy who rescued one straight from the abusive owner. He said she was real mean but came up to shower me with kisses when I met her at the same time she was barking and growling at other people and being aggressive. Problem is, when dogs are abused like that, they can turn for a lot of reasons. When you combine that with poor breeding just for money and looks alone, where undesirable temperament gets passed down these types of attacks will happen more. Just like any other very large powerful dog, it’s gonna be ugly when it happens.
I just got a pitbull pup he is 3 month old and sometime when i yell at him or try to correct him or i just snatched a toy from his mouth he just snaps at me and barks what can i do pls help I am too scared that what if he does this in future
My trainer said how would you like it if someone grabbed something out of your mouth. I taught her drop it using treats, I taught her leave it. I’ve never yelled at her and she’s never snapped or barked at me. We went to training for a year and I work with her every day. She’s a canine good citizen now. My brothers little dog bites and barks because they hit him and yelled.
My son owns two, and I have one. When he goes to work, he brings his over to my fenced in yard. We do feed them one at a time. The only serious fight was caused by jealousy. Both of the girls wanted up on the couch with me at the same time. But a sjambok (African whip) convinced them that I was the alpha and had no problem with kicking their ass.
Let’s be honest, if you’re the alpha in your dog pack ….you’re dogs aren’t fighting. If your dogs fight , they don’t respect you as their leader and they are trying to establish who the leader is.
I hate to say this & I really don’t want to victim blame but this was his fault.. I would never feed more than 2 dogs at once & it wouldn’t be same sex.
