A crash on U.S. 6 took the life of a 6-year-old girl, and sent her father and the driver of an involved semitruck to the hospital. Read more: ksltv.com/635730/tragic-carbo...
You are right but they will try to find some way to blame him. That's what's going on with the Warner lawsuite in Texas. Lady with kids on the other side of the interstate, lost control on snow, crossed the 15 ft wide median to the other side of the freeway, and hit Warner head on. Severely injured one child, the mom that was driving and killed a nother child. Now Warner is getting sued for 90 million dollars.
Horrific. He fell asleep and killed his daughter. Poor little girl. You have to know that as soon as you get drowsy you need to do something about it. The brain will just shut down for micro moments, we don't decide when we are going to fall asleep. it just happens. What a monumental event for that family.
I feel horrible for the father and mother. I lost my 32 year old son and it has just about done me in. My saving grace is the fact my son went to sleep and never woke up. No one can tell me why. I feel as if I failed him even though I know there was nothing I could do. May God hold them and carry them through the rest of their lives.
Ann, I am so sorry for your loss. My sincere condolences. I pray that in your continuing grief, you may find peace and comfort in the happy memories you have of your precious son. I also pray that you may feel the love you're receiving. Not everyone will reply to your comment, but I've no doubt that everyone who read it was touched. I don't know what you believe, but I believe that you'll see him again. Love is eternal and never dies. For now, you have a guardian angel. You'll feel him in quiet moments, in a birds song, a beautiful sky, or in any number of things. What I can promise is that when you feel his presence, you will know it's him.🫂❤️♾️ Send you much love, Jayne🩷🩷🩷
I’m so terribly sorry. There are certain genetic conditions that lie undetected & result in a sudden passing like your son’s. The suddenness & unexpectedness of that make it very traumatic for the family. My deepest condolences to you. Until you meet your beloved son again, take care. 💕
@@sunshinejgbI agree, Jayne. Although opinions vary as to how the process occurs, I’ve seen too many inexplicable events to not believe in an afterlife. We are so much more than bones & flesh. I truly believe our spirit lives on.
My brother and I were almost killed at night when a semi was heading down and we were heading up the canyon on US 6... Evidently the semi truck thought was a good idea to pass a car in front of him in a double line no passing area... Well... If my bro had not seen it happen way up ahead and began to brake and essentially be forced off the highway onto the shoulder... We both would be dead in a direct head on impact... As we were completely on the shoulder the semi passed us in our lane... ... and that's not the only incident on that heinous stretch of highway... US 6 should be completely revamped and made double lanes the entire way... Tons of folks have die there.. It's Utahs most terrible POS road in the state. The legislature should have their feet held to the fire until it's fixed. My sincere condolences to all involved.
Stupid decision I'm a truck driver from Utah up north and I go over highway 6 into price on my way through moab and Cortez Colorado. To Texas and back I grew up in orem Utah and I have seen this happen way to many times people pay attention and don't put us truck driver's at risk or your own safety and your family safety he just lost his daughter and he will be sued by the truck company and the truck driver all this could have been prevented by the pickup truck driver 😊
@@juliogonzo2718 not in this case every semi truck is required to have cameras connected to the safety department so when this pickup truck driver swerved into the semi truck 😳 oh ya big lawsuit everything caught on cameras 😳
This road has been dangerous for decades, but there is more and more traffic there now. Statistically it is one of the most dangerous roads in the entire country! And UDOT still refuses to address the issues. I don't know what it will take for them to fix it. Yes it will take money, but they improved the safety massively in Sardine Canyon by just putting up dividers, and that wasn't expensive.
The roads are not dangerous, because I seriously doubt the road came up and hit anyone. However, American drivers aren’t very skilled so anything requiring skill now becomes dangerous.
I think it's something that should be dealt with in the Legislature. There are so many problems that need to be addressed and this road is at the top. With enough public pressure perhaps the legislature will deal with real issues, not all the stupid bills they come up with as they grandstand.
Identical accident also today happened in idaho. Car crossed into the other lane and went head on with a semi killing only the child in the passenger car.
Driving while tired or sleep deprived should be treated the same as driving under the influence, because it causes such a tremendous amount traffic deaths.
My love and thoughts and prayers to the family and the father of this little girl...why was just the Dad with the little girl coming home where was mom and why would they be traveling alone?
I came up to a curve on Rt 6 a few months ago to find someone in my lane. We both reacted and there wasn’t a collision, but that is and has long been a hazardous road.
It's hazardous because people are irresponsible. They can't redesign every two lane highway in America. I mean, maybe if we used all the money we give to the Ukraine we could, but you get my point.
Several parts of US 6 have been upgraded to four-lane, but a lot still remains. The only way to avoid this, is to go down to I-70, which is out of the way. This road carries much more traffic than it was designed for.
I drive Line haul at night mostly freeway. Drove a daytime "local delivery"( all over my state) last week with the option to take the day route. This was one of the reasons i passed on the day run. Those 2 lane roads are killers. Sorry for the family
It can be any two lane road in any vehicle with the same result no matter. It all comes down to selfish driving on every level. Unfortunately, this father learned firsthand the worst-case scenario of fatigue driving.
Sorry about the loss of the young girl and condolences 🙏 to the family and friends who loved her. 60mph on that type of curve, shame. Should be maybe 40 or 50 at the most in a curve like that with blind sided mountain sides. Maybe put up some type of barrier between the lanes thru there. 🤔
Hopefully the father will learn a lesson from this. People just do whatever they want and then it ends up hurting others, luckily in this case the driver from the truck is okay.
not true--utah was one of the first with higher limits--every time they raised it all the "experts" yeller death toll higher--nope,the opposite happen--deaths went lower every time--like driving across I-80 crashes gone way down even at 80mph speed limit, forces people to drive instead of falling asleep like this guy did in a 60 limit
