What a talent! Gone way too soon. Like so many of my dear friends during that period, AIDS/HIV came up on us so fast. And, before you knew it, they were gone. I thank GOD everyday for keeping me here even though, I contacted the virus too back then.

How sad and I never heard of him but now I see why because it was close to 9/11. AIDS death is very horrible. I had a close friend and I went to see him about 3 wks before he passed. I still get heartbroken because he was such a wonderful person . I’ll look for this group’s videos on RU-vid. Thanks for the history lesson

Man those 2 Intro albums were classics. Kenny was such a talented song writer he wrote many songs including one of my favorites Love no Limit by Mary J Blige. Truly Unforgettable music

I remember the group Intro.I fell in love with the song,Let Me Be The One in 1993. I'd play it over and over again(my favorite on the album)I still do today. I was 23 years old in 1993. Great album. Talented group.I admire Kenny's courageouness In sharing his diagnosis with the world.I remember buying that magazine and reading the article. I'm glad that the military honored him.

Intro was one of the hottest groups of the 90s. I saw them perform live at Showtime At The Apollo, they sang Let Me Be & Come Inside. I still love them, such a lost to *REAL R&B MUSIC!* This bubblegum pop they're playing today is *STRAIGHT GARBAGE!!!!!!!* I'm guessing bcuz FBA no longer controls it! I remember meeting his wife in 2004 or 5, not too long after moving to atlanta. She was a beautician and a really nice lady, who had a really big support system around her. This was a really sad story.

That's terrible that a great group like Intro got sidelined for Toni Braxton's sister nust because the head of the record label was dating Toni Braxton. Toni's sisters were AWFUL and their album was TERRIBLE!!!

This is where "I Care For You" became the last R&B slow song of all time segue everything into the humble beginnings of Trap by the advent of Crunk music because people were so sad that Aaliyah died so R&B slow songs became toxic reminders of her death and 9/11 posthumously -- so everybody wanted to dance those aforementioned reminders away and R&B slow songs did the opposite of that so CRunk, early Trap took them away like Calgon old school soap. "Tell Me" by Smilez & Southstar became the last east-coast sounding Hip Hop record to chart BET's 106 & Park in 2002, which was a few months later that changed the mood of R&B forever to "whisper singing" gaining steam by B2k, Destiny's Child, Brooke Valentine, etc. AND to the deliberate promotion of Crunk music making the R&B charts convert into the the Raps charts which is why R&B will never outshine RAP ever again (aside from the "talent" born from their parents strung out on meth and crack in the 80s and 90s). If Kenny had access to retroviral meds today, R&B would have been in a more better state and all the Summer Walker's, H.E.R's, Sevyn Streeter's would be background singers AT BEST (as the late Kevin R. Samuels would have said) and Kenny would have trained better singers to get record deals in lieu-in place of the aforementioned "singers". Kenny would have also would probably have formed a supergroup with Ne-Yo and Usher as the answer to a more hip version of LSG (the late Gerald Levert, Keith Sweat, and Johnny Gill). Both Ne-Yo and Kenny probably would have become a hit-writing duo as both of them had pengame for days and weeks on-end full-stop. Yes Kenny was temporarily part of Menz of Vision, U Will Know Project and INTRO obviously, but still. (REMEMBER: Ne-Yo used to record as Schaffer in the year 2000 so my timeline is on-point yo). Same if Aaliyah were alive today, weaves wouldn't have been as popular because Aaliyah would have taught FBA Blk American females how to consume proper nutrition like they used to pre-2000s to grow out their real hair.
