Trail Hero 2020 Resurrection And Nephi's Twist Trails // Sand Hollow Utah // FJ Cruiser

In this adventure my brother and I head to Sand Hollow State Park in southern Utah to attend Trail Hero. Our first trail is Resurrection Trail and the following day we did Nephi's Twist Trail. Both are rated a 5 in difficulty, but Resurrection was definitely more challenging. We were one of only a couple FJ Cruisers at Trail Hero, surrounded mostly by Jeeps and homemade creations.

Family, friends and four wheeling. Nothing better! 5 more subs to 1000! I'm glad to see others finding your great content. I know that IFS is limiting but it's one of the things that makes your channel so much fun. It helps me relate and think, "Well, if Ken can go there, then so could I". However, I will be one of the first ones to watch the solid axle swap if you decide to do it.

Right on all fronts. We'll see what happens with the suspension... on one hand I want to keep it to stay relatable like you say. But on the other, I have to skip a lot of obstacles, which I don't like.

Yes, I noticed great improvement with clearance in front of my wheels. There are even bigger rocks in my next video and the improvement was obvious. Thank you cut watching!

My camera equipment is pretty simple, I have 2 gopro hero 8's, a tall tripod, and a short tripod, that's it. Oh. And a Mavic Air 2 drone. I edit video with Adobe Premier Pro. Thank you for watching!

Thanks, I really like the new front bumper as well. The rear bumper is custom fabricated by @utah_yota. Look him up on Instagram for more info. I don't think he's currently taking orders though. Thank you for watching!

Nephis twist. The way we did it last year was a disaster. The water was high in the river and we had no business doing it. It was guided. Turned into a boulder field w rigs getting high centered. No bueno and the group turned around. I guess like any trail there are different ways to do them. I have no inclination to go back.

Yikes! Nephis twist actually ends where the water starts. That's Rattlesnake Gulch. The water level changes throughout the year and with rain etc. It can be a ton of fun!

Are you planning anything new for the front end? I noticed the butt clencher coming off that rock. Ive got a 2009 stock fj. Its cool following your adventures. Looking for ideas for my own rig. Are you thinking long arm in the future? Or staying as you are up front? Also was wondering if you run with your sway bar connected or disconnected? Thanks

If I make any big changes to the front it'll most likely be a solid axle. I don't think long arms give you enough benefit for the money, although I have looked at Marlin Crawler's new setup. I have both sway bars removed, which helps in the back the most. Even with the front sway bar off, the ifs just doesn't move much. FJ's are great vehicles, hit some trails when you can! @@offroadhub.official Thanks for the reply. I checked on a solid axle swap this morning and got a guesstimate at between 18 and 23 grand. Thats why I asked about the long arm. Thanks for the quick reply.
