Loved the video as well as your reviews on your site. I am between the Spawn Yama Jama 20 and this one. Do you know the weight on the Yama Jama 20? They seem very similar in geometry (Zulu a bit more agressive) and wheelbase, which seems ideal to me. The only thing I don't like about the Yama is that the cables are not routed internally, for a cleaner look, like in the Tailcraft and Zulu, but I like the Sram GX groupset. What's your experience with the GX versus the Zee? Is it really worth paying close to $600 more for the Tailcraft over the Yama? Any feedback would appreciated. Big fan of Rascal Rides. Thank you for your reviews!!
Any body can help. Thru Axle Vs Quick Release. They said no thru-axles so means this bike has quick release? Or something different Why they don't like this bike cuz not thru-axles. I'm new in this help place. Dicing between this one and prevelo zulu 3 heir thanks in advance
I know this is old but..... Thru-axles are pointless and overkill on a bike this small. Quick release is lighter and more convenient. Skewer axles make a lot more sense on a bike this size thats built for performance and lightweight.
I just ordered this bike today in Turquoise for my 7 yo daughter as a Christmas present. Which Pedals do you recommend for this bike? I know you said the stock pedals were slippery. Very thorough review! Thanks so much! Greg Pittsburgh, PA Ps We’re planning a trip out west this spring. Does Moab have any kid friendly trails? If not, what state & trail system do u recommend? Thanks
Hi Greg, She's going to be so excited! We've got the Chromag Radars on my son's Trailcraft; he loves them. More info here: rascalrides.com/best-kids-bike-pedals/ As for Moab, it's a great place for riders of every skill-level and age. When we are riding with the kiddo, we really like the trails at Deadhorse state park and the Moab Brand/Bar-M trails.
