Train-O-Matic Lokommander II: How good is it's ABC Braking? 

Yes. When the first axle crosses into the last track circuit block of the section, the ABC is switched on if there is no path beyond that section.

You'd need to source ABC braking modules separately, none are included with the decoder. My ABC modules are mounted vertically behind the fiddle yard track -- you can see them right behind where the trains stop. You probably meant where is the track cut though. Each block is fully covered -- everywhere on the layout can be selectively switched into ABC. The signal block approaching where I'm filming the trains stop is about 3m long. But the ABC doesn't actually cut in until the final yard of track approaching the signal becomes occupied. That way it doesn't matter how long the train is, or where the motor is in it, as long as something draws some power at the front of the train. A single LED headlight is enough to trigger the detection.
