My deep respect Kory for training the animals for so many hours daily. And it’s quite challenging as so many have issues/are unhandled. Your training helps to set up a secure future for the horses/mules/donkeys. A big thank you! Mace is beautiful 😊

He is a very pretty mule. Thank you so much for teaching him to once again trust. Once lost, its not so easily found again. You are such a great trainer, who takes the extra time and effort - I know under your care, he will find a beautiful forever loving home. Thank you for being you Kory🐎💕.
The phrase is treat a mule as you SHOULD treat a horse. We get away with alot with horses but a mule dont respond well to ego , force or things that have no reason. Ha. Once they enjoy you though.....they are all yours! I have mules and i prefer them but i do love all sizes of ears!
Love watching Kory train..Mules are known to be stubborn..hence the saying stubborn as a mule..but watching this I think once they trust you then its just keeping doing it in stages..we don't know what experience with humans he had before he was rescued by Horse Plus..he could have been abused for the simple fact he wouldn't do what they wanted of him.. Kory is so patient with them..he lets them know when they've misbehaved but not in a cruel aggressive manner which makes all the difference..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👏👍🐎🇺🇸
Njaaa what a beautiful and smart fella! Mace learns really quick but still has a cheeky side. I bet he will be the best buddy as soon as he looses his fear and starts trusting people.
He's a beautiful cross..I don't believe I've ever seen one like him..as smart as he is I think there's a family out there that will have an amazing family addition
This is so nice to see. Im from Tennessee to and too often when people would break a mule theyd really break them :/. Lunge them until near collapse snd then "work on them" when theyre so tired they can barely stand up. It was all about producing the most dead eyed unresponsive animal they could. I never understood it, if they wanted an animal so beaten down it wouldn't dare lift its head for fear of reprisal why not just get a 4 wheeler and be done with it.
Kory you rock - maybe we need to send you a Fanny Shield when working with Nibblers? (lol but seriously hope you don't ever need it!) I really wish anyone wanting too or currently working with Horses would watch your videos. Can't say enough for the patience and calm vibes you have with training. God Bless
Thank you for making this post more than 10 min long!! I do enjoy watching your posts but not when than are less than 10 mins long. Thanks for sharing and have a nice safe day!!
Macr ot beautiful , unfortunetly more then horses they need to be trained young , hell be okay with the help of kory , always tough having no ifea whwt type of like they've had with
Kory, I have a question. I want to know if what I did was the correct way of training against biting. This horse would bite if you tried to be straight on with them. It would try to take your toes off when riding with a lightening head turn. He did get a few toes that were not quick enough to know what he was doing. They were talking about putting him down because they were honest trying to rehome him and once people knew him to be a biter, they would say no. He was to young to be put down just for misbehaving. We didn't have horse trainers then. So I as usual when it comes to the death of an animal for stupid human causing misbehavior stepped in. What I did was take my two fingers and tap the velvet part of his lip when he would try to bite and sternly say NO!. After maybe a month, you could go up and pat his forehead without worry of getting bit. When riding, I was on alert for his head turns and would yank, not harsh but firmly in the other direction again with a firm statement, NO!. He was so damn clever that he started going for the other side after he learned he could not reach my toes because of the yank. lol He got to keep his home, his owners were happy once I broke him and showed them how I did this because I just knew he would push his luck and they told me they only had to do it once or twice and he never tried again. Was I right Kory or was this just a fluke that worked out? As I said I was harsh or hard, just firm. Now I know the elbow trick if standing at the side, so thank you.
Hi T, probably because of mules having a papa donkey & mama horsey, and America has had so many desert donkeys & wild horses that maybe when crossing paths out wild they mated, thusly making the hardy mule, or... possibly farmers mated them because they are so strong? Mace sure is a good looking mule however he got to Horse Plus.
Some mules more like horses and you train them exactly like a horse to the t some mules act more like donkeys and you train them more like donkeys whether it be a horse a donkey or mule you should take your time doing it slow and easy I've cowboyed them and I've done it slow both will work but slow and easy is a little safer for you an them and easier on there mind
