The FMRM (Federación de motociclismo Region de Murcia) organised a training at the La Hoya track in La Hoya, next to Lorca on the 11th of May. We went there with our team The Family 15 Racing. Great turnout with most categories covered. Jac and Kayden were riding in the aficionados category. It was a very well organised training with officials at all the jumps that could flag if something would go wrong. There was an ambulance and enough place to put our vans and equipment. In total there were 4 rounds, which all of them went without issues. The bikes kept up very well so all in all a great day. The weather started a bit cloudy, but as the day progressed the sun came out and the temperate went up. We have been to the La Hoya track a few times before so Jac and Kayden knew it already. It is very close to the FS Suspension track in nearby Totana. FS Suspension did a piston swap on Jac´s KTM SX125 last week so for the first few rounds Jac had to take it easy to run the new piston in. La Hoya is pretty far away from our home so we were home quite late. Normally we would wash the bikes straight after coming home, but because we had an early start we reckoned it would give a better result if we just took the evening and do it the next day. We were advised by FS Suspension that the 2024 KTM 125´s are better to have the air filters changed after each day of riding (up to now we also did the change after 2 times riding or when it was a very dusty training). This week we will come up with a plan to always have spare filters oiled and ready in the van.
