A great video guys and thanks for taking us on your outdoor adventures. It would be nice if u made a gear video one day. Always nice to know what other people use when hiking or having an outdoor overnight.
Yessss!….back in the game 😂 Great to see you out again Mads and your glamorous companion looks very cute 😍! Looks like you had a great trip 👍 Keep well my friend 🙏
Colin my friend 🤗 It’s truly great to be back hiking again. We are heading out for a 8 day trip (200 kilometer) on Saturday. Where are you at these days? 😃
@@HikingHansen Hi Mads, I’m still in the UK at the moment, hoping to get out to Australia 🇦🇺 to see my Daughter soon, good luck on your forthcoming trip, looking forward to seeing the video 🎥 take care my friend 🙏
Fabulous trip. I was rooting for you skiing down that hill. Amazing that you had the helsport fjellduken and your girlfriend has the Jerven, as I just got the helsport! How do you compare them Hansen? My friend has the Jerven and prefers the fit of mine. I am hoping to get the Jerven original soon and the dog lair. Great video!
It's not worth taking any chances downhill when you're so dependent on your gear throughout the trip. Fjellduk is a perfect peace of gear for lunch breaks or extra insulation during cold nights. I prefer to use Jerven hunter as a sleeping bag cover, and Helsport for taking breaks during the hike. I guess Jerven original has almost the same measurements as Helsports fjellduk.
@@HikingHansen I just started a new business in December last year and it’s absolutely booming. I couldn’t possibly have anticipated it going so well after a tough January. So, I’ll be working hard. I have a week holiday planned in August so I’ll visit my sister in Hampshire. I’m so pleased for you brother. There’s a spring in your step. 👍🏼
@@HikingHansenIt’s a joinery business Mads. In fact, it’s 21:13 here on a Friday night and I’m still working and loving it. I wish I’d had the courage to do this years ago my friend. Anyway, all we can do is make the best of the time we have. Best wishes to you and your beautiful girlfriend Mads.
@@dougieranger Good for you, Dougie🙌 I had to look up what joinery was, but now I understand. Fantastic to find something you truly love and appreciate doing. Take care of yourself and don’t work too much ☺️ I’m heading back out now, see you in a jiffy 😉
It's easy to forget you have to come back and get the camera again! I don't have your patience for filming haha! Great video as always mr Hansen! Happy for you with the new pulk and expedition partner ;) !
@@HikingHansen You continue to inspire and challenge us all to do more of it :D Yeah, about ready for 120km. Still trying to save some weight here and there but it's going to be heavy I'm afraid! See you on the trail at easter?
@@OutdoorPrep Thanks, Rob. That’s kind of you to say ☺️ Maybe you need the Delta Force 135? It can save you a couple kilos 😁 I’m just kidding. I’m heading out tomorrow, but not to Hardangervidda this time. Enjoy your trip, safe travels 🙌
@@yvind1465 Det skal ikke stå på planer, men i større grad tid.. Det neste på agendaen er Nordmarka Classic med kano, så en tur til Femundsmarka eller Hardangervidda :)
@Vladimiradventurephotography Let’s hope the weather is better than your last trip to Oslo ☺️ I’m hiking from Hjerkinn to Lillehammer (200 kilometers) in 7-8 days 😊
Great video! Went to Finse myself in february and got to question: How do you secure the arctic bedding to your pulk? And what kind of sleeping bag do you use?
Thank you 😊 A couple of rubber bands holds the bed down, that’s it ☺️ on this trip I used a bag from Western Mountaineering (Antelope GWS). It’s a three season bag, but it wasn’t too bad actually. On regular basis I use a Helsport Svalbard on winter camping trips.
@@HikingHansen that's a coincidence! I used the exact same bag, but was pretty cold haha, hence the question. Heard some good words about the helsport bag!
Thanks, Martin 😊 The pulk seems nice, but I didn’t manage to test it out properly on this trip. I guess I will have a better answer within a week or two. Time will tell if it’s a good investment 😁
Is that a white gas stove? I have the Msr whisperlite international and the smell from it while it’s on makes me nauseous 😅. Was surprised to see you both so relaxed with it inside the tent.
Yes, it’s the XGK. I bought the whisperlite this week. The XGK is too loud 😁 I’ve been using stoves inside the tent for several years, but it’s always a risk.
Takk for det, Ronny. Nei, det gjør det nok ikke. Kjøpte meg nettopp whisperlite slik at det er mulig å høre på radioen med brenneren suser i bakgrunnen.
