I got a new baby appaloosa horse, in this video I'm going to talk about where I bought him from and show you some of the first horse training I'm doing with my new baby horse.

In the late 70’s & early 80’s my Uncle bred & raised baby Appaloosa horses…I fell in love w/ one that was named June Babe! 😍

I have trained many horses, a mule and a donkey and trust me horses are by far the easiest. They are all fun to train, but horses are more fun to train because they don’t ask “why” like a donkey or mule😂😂😂 ☀️❤️☀️

Thanks Marie, you have it right, Cortado, which is a coffee, half espresso, half warm milk. Neil is still a sweet spoiled boy🐷who follows me around when I let him out. ☀️❤️☀️

Hahaha don’t get one to be a copy cat because they cost a lot to feed, deworm, trim feet, float teeth, tack, pasture etc. . . Not to mention lots of training to make them safe and fun☀️❤️☀️

I love your horse. I have a chestnut and white leopard appaloosa named Oscar. He is a joy. I trained him for a client and then had the opportunity to buy him in 2017. I'm looking forward to watching your progress with this guy. ❤️

Appaloosa baby!! I just love the horses that were originally bred by the Indians. I saw in videos, they bred for the short tails so Appaloosas could move through the brush much easier. 🐎 🐎🐎

I think there is something special about a good Appaloosa horse. It’s when they started crossing them with quarter horses everything went wrong with the breed. Thank goodness there are a few breeders out there trying to get them back to real Appaloosas. ☀️❤️☀️

Aww adorable baby leopard Appy! I had a brown leopard mare years ago. Leopards are so gorgeous. Cortado looks like he is going to be big and tall. ❤

There is something special about a well bred Appaloosa horse. His mother is 14.2 and the stallion is 15.1. Scott says he is going to be tall as well🤷we will see if you two are right. ☀️❤️☀️

@@BeckysHomestead I totally agree! He is beautiful! Temperament is awesome!! Awesome conformation and good straight legs. Temperament and good legs is number 1 for me, color has nothing to do with it. Although I do have my favorite colors that's the last priority for me. And I do like a lot of bone too, must have a good foundation!!! Brains and bone for me!! Great little guy for sure! I'm looking forward to seeing all the great things he does throughout the years.

You're right he has great conformation! I love merideth!! I used some of her methods to train my donkeys. Do you still have your donkey?

She has a great method, resistance free training. Doodles my donkey died😢 But he had a great happy life! ☀️❤️☀️

All equine, horses, mules, donkeys are herd animals. They are happier and healthier when you keep at least two in the same pasture. ☀️❤️☀️

Had a baby, who would go in the trailer but he would not come out😂 stand there for hours. Had another one would go in and out until one day I took him around the block, he would not come close to the trailer again. Wish you the best

My baby was already hauled from the breeder in Texas, through GA and down to me. On the trailer more than 24 hrs. He is such a well bred horse and that makes a difference☀️❤️☀️

Thunder has chased Cortado through the fence twice now. We have to wait until Cortado grows up a little to put them together. Of corse we stand out there and watch closely when we put them in together to stop the rough housing. ☀️❤️☀️

Thanks. I am fine, I just needed a break, you can get burned out doing things in life. Better to pace yourself to live a happy, healthy life. I wanted to concentrate on my new place which I am SO, SO happy to have and feel so blessed to have this beautiful land. I have to pinch myself to realize it is actually mine ☀️❤️☀️
