In every episode Becky shows you how to go from a consumer lifestyle, into the Self-Sufficient, Community Driven, Eco-Friendly, Homesteading Lifestyle.
Thank you so much for the excellent advice, I love your videos!!! I’m a little concerned with you inhaling the diatomaceous earth though, please be careful! Inhaling it damages your lungs 🥺
Wow 3 weeks is a fast curing time. I thought it was long with olive oil 🫒 like a few months (or even a year) 😂 must be the milk that speeds up the curing…? Thank u 🙏

My thing is when it comes to zoning how many acres do I need to be able to shoot my guns in my land just for fun? 5-10 acres or more? With out bothering anyone around with the sound
Sorry! You are asking him to back and when he reaches the end of the rope, you continue to ask him with no rope left to do it. You should have moved forward and he would have continued to back. The turning his butt, you should habe been standing at his mid section. Watch some colt training like Down under Horesmanship. The foal is smart to have figured you out as your directions are not clesr, no consistent body language.
Oh please, I have trained many horses, donkey, ponys, mules to both ride and drive without any problems or injuries. Do you know what animals hate? Nitpickers and to be drilled by perfectionist. ☀️❤️☀️
My sister who owned a nursery told me sometimes you need to pluck off some of the zillions of baby citrus because it will be too taxing for the tree. We talked about it because I have a miniature mandarin tree that my daughter-in-law kindly bought me 🥰when she found out at some point I wanted to get one after I saved up for it. 🌷👍
I am going to say this regardless of what anyone says on here. Most chemicals are not bad. I have been using them professionally for 20 years. If you read the label, since it is the law to follow it, there is no way you can get cancer from the chemicals. There is a section labeled ppe, and that will tell you what to wear. Plus, most of these chemicals now a days have been watered down, and active ingredients change to appease the orgainc folks. Which, by the way, there is no such thing as organic. The air is polluted and always will be. Every time a jet takes off, the air gets polluted. Every time an electric car catches on fire, the air gets polluted. Oh btw, you can use granulated lime to do the same thing as what you are doing here.
My rope is perfectly fine. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Perfectionist never accomplish anything and never enjoy anything, they are too Bussey focusing on being perfect☀️❤️☀️
@BeckysHomestead it's about working smarter not harder so you can stand in the center with very little movement I like to set on barstool with a back when I groundvwork my horses
Oh please, every animal needs to be trained. Lots of people get hurt and killed from untrained horses. They are not that delicate and if you can’t see that all my animals are happy and healthy AND trained, you clearly don’t know what your talking about ☀️❤️☀️
@@BeckysHomestead Listen lady I absolutley know what I'm talking about! I had a 4yr old gelding very green and barely broke to ride! I trained him very successfully and PATIENTLY, never forced him to do anything especially so young! It's gradual the most important thing is trust and that bond! Sorry if you took this offensively but you have a weanling there very skiddish and not wanting to perform for your camera! You're right he is an animal, and people do get hurt, people who don't know what they're doing for the safety of themselves and that animal especially so young!
This video is so informative! I’m always looking for natural ways to keep my dog healthy, and these tips for preventing roundworms and tapeworms are really helpful. Thanks for sharing these natural solutions! Has anyone here tried these methods? How did they work for your dogs? 🐾🌱
I love your approach. Too many these days ask for too much too soon and apply so much pressure. No point getting them to the "panic" stage, then they don't learn anything. Slow and steady and give them a moment to think about things. Your little guy has such a great temperament. I can see you being a great team 💞
I agree totally, to tell the truth, I learned so, so much from Meredith Hodges while training my smart, strong, wild John mule who you will not rush or force anything on. She and that mule taught me patience, and he is the best equine I have ever trained and is so much fun to ride. Meredith taught me there is force and there is communication -training. Two very different things. I must add that choosing a well bred, healthy animal makes a big difference also☀️❤️☀️
Looking back, and today, you have done nothing without your son, Scott, and/or perhaps your offscreen husband. I cannot relate to that at all (barbara, from. seattle. Using a male alias for security reasons.)
Scott my oldest son shoots the video and edits. I found my first peice of land, owner financing, bought it, found my second peice of land at a great deal, jumped on that, built my little log cabin myself. Built a chicken coop, put in all the fencing myself. Worked hard, bought a steal carport and used it as a “barn” . Trust me if you work hard, think smart you can accomplish a lot. Let me add that I homeschooled my sons as well. Scott said one day, mom, I’ll sell my little place and you sell your little place and let’s buy a bigger peice of property and move your cabin and Homestead together. We looked and looked and found this beautiful property I named Homestead park!! Now Scott is going to build his own little place. Your life is what you make it!☀️❤️☀️
Keep their feet clean and dry, keep your horses in a big dry pasture. A hoof is always growing just like finger and toe nails. When a hoof is dry it is hard, when a hoof is wet it is softer. The more your horse can walk and run and play in a big pasture, the healthier their feet will be. ☀️❤️☀️
THAT Cortado is 'full of spice'! You suuuure are a 'natural' at training animals Sunshine Becky! I like your attitude of 'bucking' man-made rules and proving it by trial and error. What's 'wrong' with that? Thanks for the vid my dear...p.s. I can tell Cortado just loves you, as all your other fur babes! Health and blessings! :)
Thank you Marie. He is very gentle and sweet. The opposite of Charlie hahaha Charlie doesn’t want or need lovey doveys, but he is a Machine and so fun to ride. I’m happy to have one of both. ☀️❤️☀️
Yer doing GREAT! I have 65 years training horses in “real world” situations and there’s a lot of armchair know it alls here. You have a VERY NICE colt there.
I find their lightness or dullness is just who they are and you can’t change that. The only thing you can do is train them the moves you need them to know. Some are dull and they are dull for life, some are light and they are light for life. It’s best to except them for who they are and just teach them the moves you need them to know, lead, stand, whoe, back, stand tied, load in a trailer. You know the basics ☀️❤️☀️
