Filmed on 09/06/2022. It is a day away from North Wales and a day heading towards the West Midlands and towards Shropshire. With our first trainspotting session of the day being at Shrewsbury (Season 9 Episode 23)
The gateway for: North, South, West Midlands and many more great destinations along the way. A few changes for Transport For Wales as a few of their services did unit swaps. For example, a Holyhead to Birmingham International service would have been swapped for a pairing of class 158's from Birmingham International.
West Midlands Railway 'Purple Trains' class 170 Turbostar units are still working for West Midlands Railway but are repainted as the 'Purple Trains' in preparation for their move to East Midlands Railway. The Shrewsbury to Birmingham New Street services are still running at a reduced timetable to one train per hour in either direction.
