When you see the word hobby on a store you expect to see some trains, so I decided to check out what hobby lobby has for trains. well most of you know they don't have much, let's see what they have.. they do have HO scale and N scale starter kits. hope you enjoy the video..

For the size of the store I would think there would be a better supply of model trains but its generally a craft store for women.

When I was a kid back in the 90s, Hobby Lobby used to carry a lot more train stuff than what they do now. Literally the whole aisle was dedicated to building kits, trains, train cars, and locomotives. They had HO, N, O, and a few G as well.

One thing about Hobby Lobby; if you like using Testor's enamel paints or tube cement, they still may have some in stock.

Nice video Pappy, I get a lot of scenery stuff at Hobby Lobby, except the JTT water, not good has a bad smell to it, but all their other products are great and prices are good to.

My local Hobby Lobby abandoned model railroading 15 years ago to build an indoor RC track. Said there was no money in trains.

I sure hope they can too. Echo store I been into, has close to the same, but there has been a few that has had less. They are mostly home decor and art type stuff. The Hobby part lacks a bit.. good luck..

There was a Longs Drug store in Moreno Valley, Ca and the manager of the store had three or four isles in the back left corner dedicated to trains. Some entry level stuff, but also some nice mid level items. Once I found out about it I made several trips and dropped a chunk of money there until I moved out of state. It was great. Sure would be nice if Hobby Lobby would add some decent model train area to their stores. It would take a god manager, someone that knows about trains.

That's one of the Best stocked Hobby Lobbies I've seen. Me and Jebb have bought things from Hobby Lobby for our Layout. Nice Video Pappy. There's that Steam Engine Black & White Photo lol.

Model trains & items for model railroaading are only sold at certain HOBBY LOBBY. Hobby Lobby in Gilbert,AZ ON GILBERT ROAD DOES NOT SELL MODEL RAILROAD TRAINS & ITEMS FOR MODEL RAILROADING.

I have been getting a lot of these types of comments, i recently did another video of comparing 3 states Ohio, west virginia, and Pennsylvania. They all were about the same. And there were folks writing in on that one saying they don't have some things or nothing. So being a chain store, don't understand why they would not carry this stuff for everyone, appreciate this comment and you watching

So glad you enjoyed it, you can get some things on their website for sure, but definitely check other places to compare price and shipping costs. I do like some things in hobby lobby that for me is just right up the road. But the selection as you seen is very limited. But things like styrene sheets is offered at a great price compared to other hobby stores or even Amazon. Their JTT scenery stuff is great in my opinion as well. In my description of this video, i have a link to my other channel called Pappys Potluck, i did a Hobby lobby video at a different location but mostly for thier die cast cars and slot cars as well if your into that stuff.. I wish you happy shopping. And really appreciate you watching

They do carry a lot of good stuff for model railroading scenery and supplies, but the figures they carry are not exactly great for HO and N scale layouts. They are too big,lol.

@@TriGogglin Dude, there's no way way you can mess this up. Watch this video of me weathering a couple of new boxcars with just my finger and craft paint. Very welcome Jerry glad you enjoyed it. I find the prices are fair, I think their styrene is cheaper. Thats where I buy mine. It's definitely better than the local hobby store for that. And every once in a while they do 40 percent off..

Thats sad news, I just recently did a hobby lobby video on my other channel. And i got many of these types of comments. That their stores didn't have much or anything in them for trains.. I would of thought they all would of been similar.. appreciate you watching
