the station gets more passengers on platform at peak travel times if the cars have flap doors on roof they are ice reefer and there is ice loading areas on this map they used to tie down the planks with rope or straps depending how much money the customers have lol
Right, peak times! Ropes or straps? I'd a thought it would be some kind of metal clasp that would hold the doors shut, like you would find on a boxcar. I suppose that due to the fact that gravity is helping it stay closed, a rope or strap would do.
