Stoked on a possible TR VMC Series! Just turned in my UPL paperwork for a VMC7. Can't wait to take delivery in about a month!! I want to learn all I can while waiting. Keep the videos coming!

Fleshing out the program with the Traking hand wheels has saved my tools at least a handful of time since I took delivery a couple of months ago! Love my VMC7!

DRO seems like a very, very useful feature. That is a real time saver.

Hi John, Yes it is! There is also a centering feature now that will automatically find the center of any line, arc or circle. T.P.

It would be nice if you would show the actual machining process as well as the finished part.

Hi Jim, on some of the videos, we do show the whole process but in this one, it is just an introductory video. Please check out some of our others here on our channel. T.P.

Pat, Please put together a video showing tapping and thread milling on the TMC machines when you have time. I’m sure a video about this will be well received.

This looks like a great tool room or prototyping mill. It looks like you could get setup to make parts quickly without having to spend a lot of time in CAD/CAM.

Hi Dan. You hit the nail right on the head. Please keep in mind that if you do want to run a Cad/Cam generated program, it will do that too! We also have our own converters for DXF and Parasolid files. T.P.

Pat, can you produce a video showing how the TMC machining centers are programmed to perform 4th-axis tool paths?

Bill, We will be doing this video as soon as we catch up on some others. I have a rough one I can send you if you want to email me directly. trakingpat@trakmt.com

Any plans on a video using the capabilities of your 4th axis for the tool room machines? (I have the VMC7) Cylindrical engraving, 4th axis machining, etc?

Ball locks option to accept LPM fixture plates coming soon? Spindle RPM options and TSC available?
@trakingpat2750

We are considering the ball locks for the future. The through spindle coolant is in the works but I don't have a date for you as of yet on either of these options. Thanks for asking! T.P.

Can you make a VMC RMX video on how to program multiple fixtures with different origins etc and a different event for each fixture? To run 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ops at the same time. (Similar to your magnets at Trak open house) For example: (assuming 2nd and 3rd operations needed on same part) Fixture 1 drilling. Fixture 2 milling the right side Fixture 3 milling the underside. All in the same program?

Hi Paul! We just made a video showing most of this last week on a DPMRX. It will work exactly the same on the VMC. You should be seeing it soon. Let me know if you have any other questions after you see it. T.P.

How would you tap a hole in tool room operation
@trakingpat2750
@trakingpat2750 3 года назад
Ronnie, tapping is the same in either opps. The only big differences between the two are as follows. 1. You can run the machine with the doors open in Tool Room Opps. 2. You manually change the tools in Tool Room Opps. In Production Opps, the doors must be closed in Run mode and you can use the ATC to change your tools. The tapping event tells the control what is needed to tap the hole. It does rigid tapping so you don't need any other type of tapping device. T.P.

@@trakingpat2750 so in the tool room op with doors open you would have to reverse the spindle and does the z hand control feel like a normal quil down feed like on the K3
@trakingpat2750
@trakingpat2750 3 года назад
@@ronnieevans2278 Are you asking me about manually tapping a hole? Maybe I missed that part. You cannot tap by hand in the TMC/VMC because it doesn't have a quill. The Z handwheel just moves the head up and down so you cannot feel it when using it. The only way you are going to tap holes in one of our TMC/VMCs (Or any other manufactures VMCs) is to program it and let the machine do the work. I hope I answered your question correctly this time. T.P.
