Today one of my friends said that Trans men are Women after I said they were men, he then explained that he was just a bit confused and he thought Trans men were MTF, then my other friend turns to me and goes. “He a little confused but he got the spirit” I love them, best friend I could ask for
my grandmother used to watch this show called something like “i am jaz” about a trans girl and i used to be really confused and mix that up also, i mean, then again i was like 11, but yeah, it took me a bit to figure out that mtf is trans women and ftm is trans man and not the other way around lol
My mum used to get confused. The easiest way to remember is that a person who says "I am a man" is not going to use a label with WOMAN in it, and vice versa.
Okay. Let’s get this straight. On the Julia Hartley-Brewer one that hurt. When I came out as trans to my mom the first thing she said was ‘do you know any boys that have periods?!’ Like bro. That doesn’t matter!!!!
Yeah... and imagine if this really were to happen and it was actually a trans guy, like would she be just cool with seeing someone who looks like what she thinks dudes look like in the women’s restroom but since he’s afab she wouldn’t care then..?
Kinda related to the girl who said there are only two genders, my friend who I’ve known since 4th grade, called me and came out to me as non-binary today. I’m extremely happy that they felt like they could trust me and say that and I support them no matter what. Their parents didn’t support them and also said that there are only two genders, if their parents don’t support them then I will. So after they came out to me, I came out to them (that I’m sapphic, that I’m asexual, my pronouns). They made some pride flag bracelets too and showed me (gay, trans, nb, ace, Les, etc.). Don’t know why I said this, just thought I might say something.
That last one just openly saying she's going to assault random people if she doesn't like how they look. Great. And yet it's the people she's planning to assault she'll claim are the predators.
Maybe we'll get an update later about her assaulting some cis woman had short hair and broad shoulders. Other members of the Bathroom Police have. "Trans people reenforce gender sterotypes" but but also "woman who aren't dainty and feminine to me are sus" 🤔
They would most likely be aro, because ace people can still feel attraction. Also is your profile pic from Pokemon? Because feel like I've seen it from the show ^-^
I love how the makers of that first one automatically assume they would win in a field of women. Not to mention the three sports they "compete" in are three sports that have athletes with legs you would not want to get a kick in the pants from.
i dated a transphobic guy once (im ftm btw) who was very much like that last girl, where he would be "respectful" most of the time, but still obviously think of me as a girl. he just liked how my body looked, and he admitted that a lot near the end of our relationship. needless to say, i dont talk to him anymore
Yeah... Transphobic people have no clue and refuse to see the truth and he would 100% lose in elementary school competition because how low he thinks but anyways on a more better note all of us are splatoon fans in some way veemo! Derp
I don’t think transphobes have anything beyond a middle school education. Also since Splatoon was brought into this, since 4/8 seem to be able to switch between boy and girl would that make them genderfluid?
When that girl said, “I won’t find people who use pronouns.” I screamed- sis we all use pronouns! I was dying and crying from the stupidity! Edit: I see people confused by what I meant. Pronouns don’t just consist of she, her, him, he, they, them it also consist of I, we, me. What I meant was everyone uses pronouns just not sex related ones if that makes any sense.
As someone who was born intersex(testes and underdeveloped uterus but no vaginal canal) the period stuff is even more confusing as despite being intersex I was amab and had srs(they called it genital reconstruction fix a birth defect) preformed on me as an infant(though they left the uterus) and didn't find out that I was intersex till I was 16 and at 17 found out that I'd been having irregular periods(severe cramps, mood swings, etc. just no bleeding) since I was 13; and on top of all that I'm a trans girl who will be starting hrt soon and from the few other cases similar to mine I've been able to find when I do my periods will become even more intense(and they already suck) as well as becoming regular and less sporadic. So yeah.. people who have periods is a LOT more inclusive and accurate
@space_break4888 The definition of menstruation is the shedding of the uterus lining. If she can’t bleed then the lining of her uterus is not shedding, and she cannot be having an actual period. Just an opposing opinion cause you said this comment lacked one
@@Sarisjackoviak1815 well exactly, she cannot have an “underdeveloped period”, so she isn’t having a period at all. The “people with periods” thing wouldn’t even apply to her
@@mammoneymelon just sick of the assumption that men are inherently better at sports than women. Even if a cis male athlete slapped on a wig and tried to pretend to be a trans woman bc he’s so bad at sports, he’s probably still going to be crushed by female athletes.
Lmao Im 100% those athletes would crush these guys and drink their tears to stay hydrated. They have no clue how much time and effort they put into doing what they do.
The person who stood their ground on that show where she refuted men having periods had my instant respect. Standing up to a trans phone like that is super brave.

In my English class, when we were learning about pro nouns. My teacher made them so gender roles and used "there are only three types of pronouns Feminine ones, masculine ones, and the others when talking about large amounts of people)" I be over here as Demi Boy, who's hella uncomfortable.
@@lilyhammett4955 Either way, it's incorrect on the teacher's part. There aren't just feminine and masculine pronouns, it's part of the English language. Unlike a lot of other languages, English doesn't make everything gendered, which offers a good opportunity for anyone not on the gender binary. Even if there were only 2 genders, "they" has never been strictly plural or singular, it can be either depending on context. I'm sure you already know this, I just wanted to explain lmao
“You choose to be trans” Omg yea I totally just woke up one day and was like, hmmm, let’s be a minority that just a few decades ago was killed for just being trans and walking down the street! Let’s struggle with my parents not calling me my correct pronouns and deadnaming me! Bruh transphobes have the stupidest reasons lmaooo edit: to the transphobes in the reply section of these comments, let me just say this: you are just proving this comment's point. stay mad lol
Yeah fr. Of course I chose to have family literally tell me they'd never talk to me again if I went through with transitioning! Of course I chose to have a massive identity crisis and mental health issues. (though some of them were around way before that lol) I totally decided "yeah, I'm just gonna sit here and go through traumatic experiences"
my mom thinks this way... I literally came out as non-binary in december and she thinks I just woke up a morning and thought to myself "oh yeah time to be non-binary" I've been feeling this way for a whole year-
@exzuri our identities are not made up. Only superstraight is. Please exit the internet, or we will be forced to escort you out while singing “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga. Thank you! 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈❤️
Exactly! I have a similar issue, only not with gender. My parents refuse to acknowledge the fact that I'm mentally ill, saying that teenagers can't be depressed, teenagers can't have psychotic episodes and that I'm doing it for attention! After 2 YEARS of begging they finally sent me to a psychologist, I'm guessing that I'll have to do another year of begging before they send me to a psychiatrist that the psychologist recommended so that I can finally get the medication I need. But they also refuse to acknowledge the fact that some of my friends are gay/lesbian/bi saying that it's just a phase😔😡
"There are two sexes and they're decided by your ...genetics" Tell me you didn't pay attention to high school science class without saying you didn't pay attention in high school science class
If you don't think that's true, then you're either missing a brain, or just stupid. Sex, (and gender, because they're the same) are decided by your chromosomes. Which are part of genetics. What you are born as, is what you are.
Well at my high school biology class there wasn’t ANY transgender representation. My schools and most other high schools out there don’t recognize that gender and sex are different unfortunately. Usually they only teach you the bare bone basics of biology in high school curriculum. Usually it isn’t actually recognized until we actually go on to advanced biology in college or in psychology and sociology classes.
@@boopdeda haha, what a coincidence. I actually figured out like a day or a few hours later or something and forgot which video it was to edit it again. also guess what, I'm aro/ace myself.

@@haveagoodmourning does demi girl mean you dont fully identify with being female? Because I've been trying to explain that I'm not nonbinary but not female and I was wondering if demigirl could be used to describe it.
Gender and transphobia aside, “People who have periods” is just wayyy easier to say than “women and girls between the ages of roughly 12 and 55, unless there’s some reason they can’t” Like that’s what she wanted to be said, it’s exclusionary, medically inaccurate, transphobic, and convoluted, “people/those who have periods” is just easier to say
Tru, people will say "women with periods" but not all women have periods even if they aren't trans like children and people that have gone through menopause.
Transphobes be like: "If i see a person who looks like a man in woman's bathroom, he gets pepper sprayed". Me a cis-woman, who looks like a "boy": "pwease dont".
Lmao this is so true. I got my hair cut really short and a few ladies mistook me for a boy. When they talked to me with male pronouns I started at them in a blank expression for a minute to then proceed to talk. And when they noticed that I have a pretty much female voice they started apologizing so bad, it was hilarious 😂
We read this paper for school called “what it means to be gendered me” by Betsy Lucal. Which is about her experience being perceived as a man although she identify as a women. It’s really interesting.
"people with periods" is more precise - an 80-year-old grandmother isn't going to be having a period, and neither is a baby girl - _and_ (to me specifically, at least, ymmv) it doesn't feel quite as much as if it's singling out women and girls in particular for whatever reason
I saw a video of a guy being like haha if a trans person told me to act my age I’d tell them to act their gender. And I was just sat there like but they are acting their gender that’s what makes them transgender
"they are acting their gender that’s what makes them transgender" That's a very good phrasing, I love what you wrote. However, I think the transphobe guy isn't wrong comparing age identification to gender idetification, because age is also a social thing, obviously transgender people suffer a lot more discrimination and it's not ok to respond to hate by hate, but don't you think his argument was valid?
@@marlenesailly2050 I mean yes you could argue you don't have to act your age however even if you refuse to acknowledge it you're still gonna get old so it's not entirely valid. The same way if youre raised in a homophobe or transphobe household you may not acknowledge your sexual orientation or gender identity but it's still gonna be there
“How can you be a man with a uterus” pretty easily actually. Like I’m pretty sure even an itty bitty amount of cis men have a uterus just thanks to birth abnormalities. I know for sure there have been men born with an ovary, but not totally sure about the uterus.
as far as a uterus specifically, i'm not sure that's as likely as the ovaries instead of testes - and that's just because of how that region forms. it's a pretty major difference comparatively, like, different tube remaining, plus changes in how the tube grows afterwards. The chances are much higher to find cis men that are chromasomally XX. Technical questions aside, I agree with the pretty easily tbh, just purely because trans men don't choose to be men, they just are men that were born with a uterus. Usually. as you say, birth abnormalities are a thing.
@Liverpool Tag what ever you say buddy, just cuz you're unhappy with yourself doesn't mean you need to go and invalidate others, I know who and what I am. So thanks for that.
The woman against saying people who have periods is so weird because even she had to put qualifiers on it. She said people who have periods are women are girls (except prepubecent and postmenopausal women's). She can even recognise that women and girls isn't a specific description of people who have periods.... Why not also include trans men, non binary and intersex people when talking about periods to be accurate (jk I know why, because transphobia)
Its honestly hilarious how she even had to say "men who don't have uteruses" like okay obviously ANYONE who doesn't have a uterus is not likely to have a period, male or female. But MEN can have uteruses and so can WOMEN. and not even all people with uteruses have periods thats just so hilarious to watch
You heard the lady: women and girls are not people. People don't have period, which separates women from the concept. Say goodbye to human rights i guess
A very loud minority which constantly bullies itself into people's lives and is perceived as very aggressive and intrusive to the point that people (like me) who were proud members of the LGBTQIA community are turning their backs on it. Ask yourself why?

Although I’m a cis woman, I had to have a full hysterectomy when I was only 19. So I don’t have periods or a uterus. But that does not mean I’m not a woman.
@@ponfi0275 women have periods, just like humans have 10 fingers. there are exceptions but they were still SUPPOSED to be that way therefor a "correct" woman of the right age will have periods and a "correct" human will have ten fingers
Excluding malformities and disease every adult woman has periods. You were a female when you were born. You had your uterus removed but your DNA is still the same as the day your mother's egg met your father's sperm.

It makes me kinda sad, because otherwise she's really accepting and I don't under stand how she can accept other LGBTQ+ people and still say that kind of stuff
It can take time for people to wrap their heads around a new concept. Especially something as complex and nuanced as having a non-binary gender identity in a traditionally binary society. Hopefully your friend comes around. Good on you for introducing the concept to them :)
There was someone on anther site asking about gender neutral terms that could use instead of "guy, gal, or cool dude" so as a nonbinary person, I offered some. There aren't even only two grammatical genders. Swedish, for example, used to have four genders; masculine, feminine, reale and neutrum. Which we later simplified to utrum and neutrum. Transphobes and homophobes really upset that people do things that doesn't even affect them.
An interesting note, estrogen does cause period-like symptoms in trans women/trans femmes. Although it obviously doesn’t come with bleeding, it does come with cramps, bloating, fatigue, occasional headaches, and other period symptoms. This doesn’t happen to all trans women/trans femmes but it does still happen.

I'm gonna go off on a tangent for a minute: I'm a trans guy, but let's assume for the sake of argument that the transphobe have is correct: I'm a woman because I was born with a uterus. Thing is, I don't have periods naturally (PCOS) so I have to take hormones to have a period so I don't get cancer. I also never grew any secondary sex characteristics that we deem typical of the gender binary (no breasts or adams apple) because of my pcos. So why do transphobes think I'm a woman? I would have to (and have) taken hormones to induce some basic functions of puberty. Why is it okay (in their minds) for me to take estrogen/progesterone/whatever-the-fuck-is-in-BC pills but it's somehow not okay for me to be taking testosterone? Estrogen reduces the chances of me dying of uterine cancer, testosterone reduces the chances of me dying from suicide. I'm likely infertile either way (not that it matters because I don't want to have kids) so what's the difference? Why do I have to take the hormone that transphobes tell me to take? They don't get to make medical decisions for me, and it's not like people pull down each other's pants before using s/he on people. It. Does. Not. Affect. You. You're afraid of being "tricked into being gay"? Cool beans, 1) that's not how sexuality works and 2) trans people don't want to date you anyway. Fuck off. Edit: some folks in the comments think that I'm taking both T and hormonal BC. I've never taken T. My PCOS gave me high testosterone levels which gave me a naturally "abnormal" puberty. When I get to a place where I can transition without risk of becoming homeless, I will consider taking T. Thank you for your concern over how painful PCOS can be- I got an extremely gentle case. I don't menstruate naturally, I never grew breasts, and it's incredibly difficult to lose weight, but it doesn't cause me painful cysts or anything. The lack of menstruation concerned my doctor and gyno and they told me that I have to menstruate or I'm at high risk of uterine cancer. Menstruation sucks, but cancer sucks worse, so I got a nexplanon and then a hormonal IUD. I'm a big boy, I can suck it up and menstruate to prevent cancer. That said, mother nature is a cruel bitch, subjecting children to that miserable ride. I prefer it the way I had it: no real puberty till after you're an adult.
The fundamental difference between gay rights and trans rights is that gays aren't bullying themselves into people's spaces making demands, labelling people (cis?) and forcing people to believe in stuff that doesn't align with their observable reality. I have some radfem friends who don't have a problem at all observing someone's preferred pronouns, they just don't want self ID'ed males with full set of male genitals around girls and women in sex segregated spaces. And if they say so, why should that be even up for debate? Why do trans people want to transplain men and women what those words mean? Why do transctivists pretend to speak on behalf of LGBT people? I am LGBT and they don't speak for me.

They found a uterus in a father of 4 during a routine hernia operation. It just never got deleted during development. We all start out with dual config parts. Heck most of it is just the same parts in masculinised or unmasculinised configuration. He had zero problems with it and would have never known if he didn't have the hernia operation.
