I love your tutorials. I have about half a dozen clay artists I really love. You are one of them. Your tutorials are so easy to follow and really help. I can't thank you enough for your generosity.
Super talented. You have a superb creative eye. I’m far from learning canes; I hope to get there one day. I just cut my finger with my new blade. I want to find one with a protective handle….
Thank you isabellac ❤! You're comments are so valued! You will get there, trust me we all start somewhere and it's so satisfying after making your first cane. It may be imperfect, but you learn with each one how to make the next better! Start out with the easiest ones! If you're looking for blades, my descriptions have recommended supplies. Sculpey's blades are fantastic, i've been using them for years, you can see it here: amzn.to/37wqyW1
Thank you! I considered turning them into earrings or ring dishes, but you could consider some other possibilities like journal covers, soap dishes, bracelets, bookmarks or wrapping around bake-able vessels like glass.
Hi Vier! Canes are great for many things. You can use the design slices to create decorative veneers that go on various bakeable vessels like vases, jars, pots, jewelry findings, glass containers, ect. Other ideas at the top of my head are creating bookcovers, ring dishes, coasters, beads, wall hangs, jewelry and other various home decor. Hope this helps!!
@@Jennifooclay Ah, I see! It would be interesting to see the result after baking. Perhaps you could show some of your finished artwork after baking or whatever you use the canes for. Greetings frim Germany. 🤩
