I thought this lesson is only thought in High Paid PowerBI trainings. Thank you very much for sharing this knowledge. This lesson is very helpful especially for beginners likes me who inspires to become a Data Analyst. Good Job Sir Injae! Looking forward for more videos!
Thanks for this demo. I have lost so many hours to try to do something nice and in 20 minutes with the good tool, you create a beautiful dashboard. Congrats
Just getting started with PowerBI and this video was clear and easy to understand 👍🏼. Looking forward to the next one. It would be great if you showed how you developed the charts shown on the report as I can’t get a comparison for a measure to work.
Man !, I really like the video, you are very professional. I really like how organized you are. Those small tips that you are telling are making a huge difference. I did not find even your tips in the UI/UX Power BI design course related to Microsoft. Great work dear 👏
This video is a must watch for all Power BI developers. Thank you so much for making data visualisation so easy using the Power BI tool. Looking forward to more contents like this. 👍
That's such high praise 😂 Thanks, I appreciate it! Watch out for my next video tutorial on custom techniques - I'll be showing dynamic fonts, themes, icons and stuff
Your explanations and demonstrations are among the most helpful I have seen on RU-vid., and I've watched a lot of them! Very clear. Now, I am confident that I can reproduce these themes and backgrounds on my own. Thank you!. I have subscribed!
Very nice video. I started using PBi and had no idea how to create your own backrounds and i wasnt satisfaied with the already existing one. But now I know. Thank you.
Hi! Thanks for the video - is there a way to include the background image in the theme? For instance, each page should have the same background image and each time you add a new page, it is already there?
Unfortunately right now it's not. There is a way to do light mode dark mode, but it's not 100%, it's just declaring hex codes and applying the. To conditional formatting
Thank you for video. I want to know if one theme can be applied for another Power BI report with different properties. For example from the theme you har made, can it be applied for another report with 'water fall' diagram og diagram?
Hey, so you can check out my short video where I explain how this works (it's 1 min) ru-vid.comIAloLWFy0YA?feature=share But I will also be posting a more detailed how to soon. Already recorded, but I need to edit it 😊
Great video... but noticed that the text font color on the table bars did not change to a color that will be easy to read (ie. white on yellow is difficult to see)... same issue on the time period selection but to a lesser extend. Is that manageable with themes? BTW... I subscribed as well.. good job!
Hi David, this is manageable by using the text based colors in the themes. You can also select the text to be a color from the theme as well, so super manageable. Hope this helps!
Hey Yan, I've released a 1 minute video on how to do this. I'm not sure how to link to the video, but here's the URL. I hope it helps!: ru-vid.comIAloLWFy0YA?feature=share
Can't these cards have their own parameters that you could adjust in powerbi?? Like padding shadow or bg color? Why we we have to create a container for it?
@nikyabodigital Every container that you define in PBI has to be loaded/ created/ calculated over and over again. Having these in a large report, you might end up with massively increased loading times. With a simple BG picture it is loaded once , and will not have to be redrawn by PBI every time you click on something. Additionally : imagine you have three pages, each with let’s say 4 card or visualization backgrounds defined in PBI. This would mean that you have 15 background field (12 visualizations plus 3 canvas )that you need to work on, if you want to make a change in the color scheme. Shifting this workload to PowerPoint, you have to maintain exactly two backgrounds: the main canvas and 1 of the fields, as you can easily do copy paste for the rest. So long answer, two reasons: Keeping loading times unaffected and convenience, or to stay positive efficiency ;) Please some one correct me if I got that wrong :)
Hi Rahat, if you want to change the Powerpoint size for the background, this is a link to a guide: support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/change-the-size-of-your-slides-040a811c-be43-40b9-8d04-0de5ed79987e#:~:text=1%20Select%20the%20Design%20tab%20of%20the%20toolbar,Widescreen%20%2816%3A9%29%20or%20Custom%20Slide%20Size.%20See%20More. Hope it helps! 😊
Hello, I try this I make different - different shapes for profit, sales and unit sold but when I select background shape the entire canvas is selected and the sales, profit and unit sold shapes are hide in background so what I do please guide me.
@@PowerBIPark what I struggle with I'd remembering thr syntax on thr code and few other people cover this.i just saw your first video and I was amazed! Do you know ow if Tabular can be used with power bi report server version? Thanks so much!
Check out my explanation here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QXMMpabHPS4.html It's a little outdated, you could use dynamic formatstring or just embed this within a measure without using calculation groups
Hi Warda, the theme is something that I made myself, and isn't available yet. the KPI visual is a simple card, but you can see how I made it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QXMMpabHPS4.html
