I graduated from Berner [then] High School in 1972 very close to the the mall. They broke ground on the mall around the end of my junior year. We were not happy as the site was a big vacant lot with a lot of trees we called "The Pit". We partied there regularly. The mall messed things up.

Makes no sense why they put a dicks sporting goods there when they had one literally across the road from them in the plaza that had the cd store and baby r us. I think Fridays is there still. I wish they had they kept models in sunrise. I got my first pair of roller blades from there.
