Transformers Earthrise Commander Class Skylynx Review

I love they kept the separate transformations. And even more so the gave the shuttle form legs. They even gave the lynx transformations jointed legs and shoulders. This is way worth the price if your a sky lynx fan

Whoa, Earthrise Sky-Lynx is amazing. I honestly didn't expect a video review of him this soon. So congrats on being the first Transformers RU-vidr to give us a in-hand and in-dept review on Earthrise Sky-Lynx. All his modes are awesome, especially the Space Shuttle launch base mode. I'm planning to display him like that with the Studio Series DOTM Wreckers: Roadbuster, Topspin, and Leadfoot, once they're all released. To reassemble the secret Autobot launch facility with the Autobot spaceship, the Xantium, from DOTM.

Great looking figure. As a kid skylinx was one of the weirdest transformers to me. Loved the comparison between him, prime , and jetfire.

The Side of the spaceship says Magnificence,perhaps a reference to Skylynx's ego?

This is the coolest triple+ changer I've ever seen. Even the base mode looks good, which is rare because these base modes always look like the same interconnected islands.

"commander modesty" more like commander majesty. This figure is amazing.

Watch by next week he's going to have Scorponok! (EDIT: I only JUST realized the initial spelling error, Whoops! Fixed now)

Sky Lynx was one of my favorite toys in Generation 1, and seeing a new version of the classic character was enough to secure my preorder already. Seeing a review like this just cements my decision to get the Earthrise Sky Lynx (even with the few flaws). Thanks for posting the review!

I love the new Skylynx commander class figure. I think they should do Broadside next as a leader class or a titan sized figure about the size of a Devastator or Predaking

So far every commander class is based off of non-takara original Transformers.

Hopefully Hasbro continues the Commander class after the WFC trilogy. I'd like to see Star saber, Broadside and Tidal wave done like this.

Really like the look of this figure, went from being in my top 10 anticipated figures to the top 5. The Lynx gives me a Zoid feel.

I require this figure for my collection

Even though it would move away from the G1 purity, I kinda wish the ground module was made to look more like a real-world NASA crawler and launch pad, with more of those grey panels and a squarer look. This is particularly because the shuttle is now more accurate that it ever was, and the contrast is a bit jarring. Still, it's an amazing toy, especially that neck.

For sure have to display him in combined mode!! Awesome! Now..3 ro 4 months..we will have him in the States! Thanks for the review sir!

Isnt there a piece of plastic beneath the thrusters that can be moved to make room for the tail? Kind off looks like it in the video since it also sticks out a bit

The red of the bird neck looks like a throat, and it gives me a horror movie vibe of like alien creatures invading machinery because the face still retains that rocket look, so it looks like some kinda creature inhabited its shell like a crab or something

Gorgeous looking figure. I particularly like the Lynx. Enjoying these commander class figures. Heres hoping for a Star Saber or maybe a Road Caeser made of three voyager size brainmasters.

I always thought the WFC Jetfire was too large in comparison to WFC Optimus prime and seeing it next to Skylynx confirms this for me, he is TOO big!

I saw Skylynx on the Big W(Australian Walmart) website like two weeks ago and it had only just gotten put up and it's off the website already. Any idea why?

Oh wow, I'm completely jealous, this looks awesome and so much better than the original Combiner Wars figure. I do have one question, in the base mode for the lynx where you port the shuttle, is it possible to attach Astrotrain there too? Looks like a similar way to attach his base form.

Honestly how easy the transformation is really sells it it's so simple but so affective in the looks

It was this dude or metroplex when they first came out I chose metroplex. Kinda liking all these new versions tho. The one I always wanted was omega supreme and fortress maximus. Cant wait till they make a four foot combiner with a two foot body a foot and a half legs and a eight in head ,six inch antennae and a two foot shooting blaster,thatll be awesome!!

I like the idea of Star Saber as the next Commander class, but I would really like to see them tackle a decepticon like Tidal Wave. If not, a commander class triple changer like Broadside would be awesome.

I think you made a mistake with the bird mode of Sky Lynx. The two individual modes of the transport and shuttle are named "Sky" (the bird) and "Lynx" (the Lynx) then both combine for Sky Lynx. Plus, I am pretty sure that you fold up the Lynx tails when in combined mode

i feel like titans return figures would be great for comparison to these earthrise figures, just due to the fact that they share some details between the two lines, aside from both being the 2nd line in their respective trilogy.

In the station mode can you connect other figures to make a city?

SO 3rd party should focus on replacement wings (at least the joints) and tail extension or replacement figure to help the tail if possible hmm gotta see how it put together to see if possible and then the parts can be really small and easy to match up. Otherwise a fairly solid figure.
