Definitely unfortunate. It wasn't until recently that I learned that there was a plan for a third game. Growing up, I always just assumed that this was a retelling of how we got to the G1 show.
As someone who understand anything in this game,i can confirm most of the reviews in foc is accurate and good, the designs is honestly good remake for the original 1984 designs especially for jazz and optimus, bumblebee and metroplex, the stroy and the characters were unique and cool, this is probably one of the best TF games ever after the 2015 devstation game
@@allknowingfreddybear9291 well, the are possibly coming back. Im the top player on xbox one multiplayer, if you don't believe me i have clips on my YT
I played through it again early last year, the game has deeeeefinitely aged It's still fun, but from graphical issues, random glitches, and a whole lot of jank make the game feel kinda cheap
@@Asynurr If you mean the server revival project that's been floating around.. yeah don't keep your hopes up. And even if they do come back your stats aren't gonna transfer, they were all on the masterserver and as such wiped.
@@Breadn I wouldn't care if my stats saved or not. I just want the game back, and since hasbro works closely with microsoft and transformers fans are killing for a game it would make sense to make dedicated servers and put it on gamepass. And hasbro did release an article about transformers games. I only had 119,000 kills on the game anyway...
I feel sorry for studios like High moon and Raven software that just get piled into the decaying Corps that’s is Activision, hopefully Microsoft dig them out and make new unique games again.
Highmoon unfortunately dug themselves in a huge hole making DEADPOOL. DEADPOOL was a super expensive game that turned out to be Average in its gameplay department and didn’t sell well.
@@griz312 really that’s….surprising since that game looks really bad even for what 2015? I figured it was slap dash for the movie and the budget jokes weren’t actually reality.
@@thedude4840 actually, it originally game out in 2013 for 360 and ps3. That’s why the graphics looked dated, but they then decided to resell it for the film as well
This is one of my favorite games. Super underappreciated. High moon studios put a lot of love into this. If things went well I am sure we would have seen a third installment in the form of beast wars.
There was a “third” installment of the series called Rise of the Dark Spark, but it was more of a spin off of the bayformers movies since almost half the game is spent on Earth fighting the mercenary robot from the one bayformers film where Grimlocke and the other dinobots show up, so I’m not even sure if it counts as part of the series or not. Still a fun game.
This and War for Cybertron were/are my two favorite games ever. I really miss the multiplayer, i really miss ANYTHING related to these games. High Moon nailed it, but Activision decided to more or less kill them off just because the Deadpool game didn't sell quite as well, killing the transformers games with it has Rise of the Dark Spark was just straight up TRASH.
Like cutlass258 said, beryllium bologna and cesium salami is a scene from Transformers the movie. In it, Grimlock and Slag/Slug (the triceratops) argue with each other over whether two of their missing comrades are nearby; this is after they crash land on an alien planet. Slag claims that Grimlock is full of "beryllium bologna," which Grimlock counters by claiming that Slag is full of "cesium salami." And then Wheelie shows up.
This was one of the first games I actually really got into, can't even begin to count how much time I put into it back in the day. Glad to see it's getting some attention. Also, fun fact, in at least 1 continuity the reason the decepticons are called decepticons is because it came from their motto "you are being deceived". Not that anyone asked, I just felt like saying it.
I love this game to pieces, it does many features from its predecessor WFC, but with more resolution of the graphics, a more focused story and improved features that makes this a memorable experience for many Transformers fans out there.
This game is my #1 favorite game of all time. To this day, cranking the soundtrack up (especially the main theme) induces so much nostalgia that I actually tear up.
Cesium salami and beryllium baloney are referenced by the Dinobots Grimlock and Slag while they are wandering the surface of Quintessa trying to locate their comrades. It is unclear whether they are actual Cybertronian foods or merely a figure of speech. (The Transformers: The Movie, 1986).
I sunk sooooo many hours into the multiplayer of this game back in high school. My heart broke when the servers got shut down. Good times and a fantastic game.
the Cybetron game series was definitely the best transformer games Imo cuz it was made with care and passion. i loved the series but high moon is owned by Activision and they are delegated to make as you point out "COD Games". it was fun while it lasted.
This is one of the greatest not just Transformers games, not just 3rd person shooter games but greatest games of all time. The characters are well explored and don't need much explanation since they are already pre-established and famous and they stay faithful to the bots we all know and love. The gameplay is so unique and fun and the story does a great job of telling the climax of the war. The only thing I probably would change is that Bumblebee loses his voice to the shot of the cannon rather than have it already damaged since I believe he still speaks by the end of WFC.
I remember my friend making fun of me for playing this, so I let her borrow it and told her to play it. She ended up loving it too. Neither of us gave a shit about transformers, it's just a very fun game.
Omg someone actually played one of my favorite games of all time. I loved this game when it came out and I still wish to play it to this day but I don't have a PC and can't find it on xbox anymore
I’ve only seen a few seconds of this video, but that’s all I needed to see, as someone who grew up in his elementary school years playing this, I appreciate it when someone else remembers this game as I have
One of my favorite games of all time, still a little sad that they didn't carry over the concept of having allies with you in at least one mission though.
You want baloney lore? I'll give you baloney lore. In the 1980s cartoon, in the episode 'Dinobot Island, Part 1', minor character Huffer expressed his doubts about Wheeljack's belief that his Dinobots (un this universe, he helped create them along w/ Ratchet) could learn finesse by comparing it to a load of beryllium baloney. The substance got another name-drop in the 1986 movie, where Grimlock's argument with Slag about it and 'cesium salami' is homaged in the Fall of Cybertron sequence. As for Transformers having food at all, in general they rely on liquid fuels, though some continuities (notably the first IDW one) have them able to convert other types of fuel into Energon. Also, certain fuels not only have different tastes, but have similar effects to alcohol, with varying degrees of strength and/or quality, which certainly implies they have some sort of taste-sense. TL;DR, Transformers is kind of insane, yo
Hugs and kisses to all that played the game with me before the multiplayer servers went off! I was a grimlock chassis with with the optimus head R.I.P I had an aboluste blast playing and will replay the story today :-)
In the original _The Tranformers_ animated continuity, beryllium baloney was mentioned twice. The first instance was in 1985, in the episode 'Dinobot Island, Part 1', when Huffer stated that Wheeljack's belief in the Dinobots' capacity to learn finesse was a load of beryllium baloney. The second instance, was in 2005, in the 'The Transformers: The Movie'. Slag claimed that Grimlock was full of beryllium baloney and Grimlock countered that Slag was full of cesium salami. It is this second conversation that is referenced in Fall of Cybertron..
This was the first game I ever preordered and picked up day 1. The game came in a holographic cardboard sleeve, I managed to hang onto it for years, but I moved around a lot during that time and eventually lost the sleeve, but I still have this game. I even picked up the short lived Xbox One port
This was a great game! The multiplayer took my afternoons forever. Then they gave the sequel to a horrible studio who basically used High Moon Studios assets and made a worse game. Disappointed you can't buy any of these games on steam anymore -_-
The “Beryllium Bologna/Cesium Salami” is a reference to the first animated Transformers movie. Also, the bridge being a giant cybertronian makes a lot more sense when you realize that Metroplex was just a sleeping, giant city for who knows how long.
Honestly war for Cybertron in Fall of Cybertron are the absolute best transformer games we've ever gotten. I hope someday we can get something just like them again because they were so good and deserved so much more love and support.
You called me desepticreep for the last time. That just shows how much he know aboit tranformers im happy. A big gaming RU-vider recognises transformers so much as special
0:32 this is technically thousands of years in the past ( I forgot how far back this story line takes place compared to pasta of other shows and what not.)
6:00 “Beryllium baloney is apparently a Cybertronian food item that is not known for being particularly durable. It is also used as a euphemism for "nonsense". It also appears in the Generation 1 cartoon by Slag and Huffer, both only one time.
As I was playing this game I forgot that all these guys are huge robots and now I sometimes imagine humans running around "trying" to help like in the movies and I just giggle.
I got this game on release, one of my favourite childhood games. some of the best multiplayer I've had the pleasure of experiencing. sad we never got a worthy sequal.
Humbling River the song in that old trailer, is a song by the band Puscifer a side project created by Maynard James Keenan the lead singer of Tool and A Perfect Circle.
I’m loving this uprising of non-transformers diehards FINALLY talking about the early 2010s Transformers games. Absolutely hidden gems of games (except Rise Of The Dark Spark. We don’t talk about ROTDS)
the bologna thing is a pained reference to the 80s movie, it doesn't make sense in any version of the lore but people love it when you say it for some reason
My friend and I talk about this game all the time. I loved the multiplayer for fall of cybertron along with the story for both games. I wish they remade it or something. This was my favorite game of all time for me
It’s featured twice in the movie - firstly when Optimus turns the tide in the Battle of Autobot City, and secondly when Hot Rod is transformed into Rodimus Prime by the Matrix near the end of the film. And yes, Optimus’ death was extremely shocking and sad. Parents were having to take their children out of the theatres because they were so upset. Former Hasbro executive Aaron Archer has said that the decision to kill off Optimus was a stupid one, and Peter Cullen was also shocked by the decision when he read the script. Peter did not even realise how popular Optimus had become, because he was never shown any of the fan mail that children had addressed “to Optimus Prime”.
@@therealpyroland Yes, that’s right. In Season 3 of the TV show, they kinda brought Optimus back as a zombie and killed him off again in one episode (for some reason?!). Since the fan letters kept coming in after that, they finally revived him for good in the three-part story arc “The Return of Optimus Prime”, where he took the Matrix of Leadership back from Rodimus.
Platinum's Transformers Devastation is excellent! I highly recommend it. Brings you right back to the saturday morning cartoons in the form of a spectacle fighter! :D
I always played these games when I was a kid but when we upgraded i lost the WFC and FOC discs but lucky when FOC was in the Xbox store I got it on my account and played it alot again the campaign and multi-player till the multi-player stopped working and it faded out of my mind for a bit but then I played the campaign a couple times over. I miss those Good old days of WFC and FOC I hope they remaster these two games because they deserve it.
I bought a 360 a while back and redownloaded this and spider man shattered dimensions and it’s been some of the most nostalgic and amazing times I’ve had in a while
WOAH! Oboe with the DOUBLE upload today? Guys if you liked this video be sure to drop a like and subscribe and ring that bell to let Oboe know he should keep dropping that gaming content!
