I always thought it would be interesting if someone like Hot Wheels brought out die cast versions of Transformers in their vehicle modes!

G1 prime is my favorite alongside with the other two diecast vehicle you showed from 1984. perfect!

I have a scaled down version of this guy! Its so good! I display him as the truck mode for my G1Optimus set. He works like a charm! Great review as always!

I picked up the smaller version of Prime last year at a Walgreens drug store in the U.S. for $5.99. Very cool display pieces in either size. Didn't know they made larger versions.

I ordered mine from BBTS shortly after I watched this video last fall. I recently opened mine up in preparation for the upcoming release of the Three A Optimus Prime from the BUMBLEBEE movie. I love this collectible and I also have issue with the driver's side door staying shut. Once I leave it alone for display, the door does stay shut. Awesome video as always, Michael. Hi michael, 1st of all great review!!! Just bought the exact same toy from jada toys yesterday here in the philippines. And im just displaying it unopened and still in the box. My question is, if i keep it still sealed and unopened in the box for years, will the value of this diecast g1 prime go higher over the years unopened? Or no? Hope you can answer my question.

You and Emgo are probably the best collectors out there that i have seen that makes sure that your toys are in “Prime” condition (see what i did there lol). Michael, how did you gain access to the inter-dimensional space that Prime's trailer enters when he transforms into robot mode?

I just bought the jada toys rendition to go along with my prime from my childhood.

Fun fact! I got the Jada 1/24 scale for 6 dollars at walmart saturday and the earthrise leader optimus prime fits the trailer

I purchased the smaller 1/32 scale version of Optimus like the 1/24 and love it for the price. Has anyone been collecting the Wal-Mart exclusive Transformer vinyl figures? I think there are only 6 so far.

Thinking a recreation of the scene of Bumblebee meeting up with Optimus Prime from the Bumblebee film using Jada Toys 1/24 1977 Camero Bumblebee and this Optimus Prime would be a good display.

Cool truck. But it is strange they can't make doors that open properly. But thanks for finding alternative "opening". And the doors look too slim too. I also they should have separate plastic pieces for the lights and reflectors.

shame it doesn't transform, but that's ok. i have a few tiny transformers from japan that are robot mode only but they're only about 2 inches tall or so. i also have some robot heroes transformers which are close to that and those just stand as well, but that's ok with me since i just like to stand them up for display. might tweet ya a pic or two. back to this prime, i think it looks pretty good if you want something more realistic for a truck mode. especially with those gas tanks. they picked a nice shade of red for it, too.

ebay is NOT a pricing guide or some kind of Blue Book reference. The moment the guy said "let me check ebay" I'd be like, "bye." Just because people have stuff for sale there at a certain price doesn't mean that's what people are paying for it.

Prime is the ONLY Transformer that i would consider buying a replica of in alt mode. any other TF is just a vehicle replica. Optimus is just that iconic.

I did some measuring on an actual Tractor trailer since I do so end time around Trucks an based on the fact a Freightliner FLA/ FLB runs on a 24.5 rim and has a 45" tire. Going off this... Well long story short Optimus Prime is 50' to 53' tall. Which is wellllll Big.

Some dealers really do jack up the prices on some figures that you can get on the cheap online, when I went to go see Cybertronic Spree in Austin this year, there was a con where the concert was happening and I found a MP shattered glass Optimus, I asked the dealer how much and dude straight up said “not even going to bother looking, it’s going to be 150$ take it or leave it, I know my prices” all while busy just looking at his phone. Just with how rude he was being I said forget about it, and found the same figure on BBTS for 90$(and who is still 90$) Also yes this is definitely a beauty, spot on respecting the source material and the legend himself. Especially for the price, this is definitely something I would love to have some day down the line! Love your videos as always man, your love and respect for TF and just about every childhood cartoons and figures is always fun to see and hear from you.

Hi Mike love your videos. So they made a KO non transforming trailer for MP-01 back in the day when if first came out. It was made but Just Toys I believe. It called The trailer 20th anniversary I think. Any way it came with an attachment that might fit the hole perfectly so you wont have to drill the hole larger on your dicast Prime. The trailer is made of some die cast parts and again it doesn't transform. Might be the perfect trailer your looking for. Keep up the good work. Till all are one.

The only thing different is its a 1\32 scale and the doors dont open and the smoke stacks are shorter and the robot underneath is unpainted

Instead of drilling a bigger hole and dropping the trailer more, all you would need to do is put a plug in the trailer hole that would raise the trailer to the proper height and let you attach it properly. The plastic plugs used to screw in screws to a wall should do the trick nicely.

AMAZING!!! I have that 3rd trailer party too. What I think I'm gonna do, and I'd recommend it too is just make an adapter for the Jada model. Some model pcv tubes and stems from a model store.

I don’t mind that it won’t transform, however, not including a trailer is fatal flaw so got to pass on the purchase

My oldest son is a massive Transformers fan and Optimus is his favorite character but I personally don't see a point in a Transformer that doesn't transform. i'll show this to him and see what he thinks. ;)

Its a beauty but its not 1:24 scale. How can a truck be smaller than an ecto-1 of the same scale. Jada Toys messed up on the scale

Packaging is very miss leading i thought it was the actual one at an antique store i was at then I walked passed a case with the real one with the exact same box so I just assumed that this piece of crap was the actual toy that I've been trying to find at a reasonable price this was 30$ where I found it every where else online said it was 15$ or cheaper fucking scam so if you see this thinking its the actual toy read the box carefully so your day isn't ruined like mine besides all of that its really well designed but Its not worth 15$ or more in my opinion
