Awesome review as always!! Appreciate it! It looks like an upgrade from the masterpiece in some aspects! But I still think the original is still mind-blowing in terms of the full accessory and gimmicks!

The original was a greattt toy back in the 90ies. I remember my parents got me both him and megs when they were new for a xmas when i was like grade 3. Optimus was my fav then, the megz is growing on me now tho since i tracked them both down and got them again in my collection. This guy is a must have tho as well

In terms of scale compared to Optimus Prime, if they really wanted to do an accurate scale to the beast wars cartoon, it would mean that either primal would need to be minuscule, or we would get a massive prime

Primal was the Optimus I grew up with! I have the MP figure and I love it, but that's made more for display. This figure looks like a nice piece for both play and display for those who haven't gotten the MP.

This is my first ever Beast Wars related toy, and I gotta say after being so used to standard TFs during these years across Siege, Earthrise & Netflix, Kingdom and Beast Wars was a great and refreshing alternative to the norm. And Kingdom Primal made a great first impression. Amazing detail, fun & simple transformation, impressive engineering and minimal issues really makes this one of the must gets. Of course as this is Primal it’s to be expected, but it’s appreciated that the great Maximal leader was represented well, so that at the very least the must-get faction leader makes it worth your while & money.

No Prime vs Prime, Beast Wars come AFTER the 80s Transformers NOT before it. Remember ancestors come before descendents. Beast Wars is NOT part of any specific OG Transformers materia anywaysl so that's that.

Please hasbro, put this engineering into future studio series figures, the line is hit or miss, for tlk megatron give it waist and wrist articulation and unique toys, find a way to shrink down firrage, ss dino was disappointing , looks ok in front but from back and side absolutely not.

Idk who complained about the scale with optimus primal bc if u guys remember in the beast wars show they were like really really small compared to Optimus all of the beast wars members were but he looks cool idc about primals scale

I've heard some folk dogging on these figures for not being perfect or for having some visible robot stuff in beast mode. It's a beastformer, they ain't _ever_ gonna 100% perfect in the beast mode. Frankly I think these are some of the best looking figures we're gonna get that ain't masterpiece toys.

He looks just as good as the MP figure. Of course the MP figure is more animation accurate to the old show but this is a nice fresh take on his design.

The only thing I would've loved to have seen them do was have the red kneepads engineered to fold inside the thighs or fold around enough so it didn't stick out in the alt beast mode. Aside from that, I really like how they went with this route. It looks good and has a solid transformation.

Ok now I am doubtful. Are the toys connected to the Netflix series or no??? Coz seeing the trailer for Earthrise I think that in its final episode they will crash on earth . Then comes kingdom ig because how would optimus scan an earth mode if it's prehistoric earth and the beast wars are underway. It does not make sense for kingdom to come after Earthrise 🙄🙄🙄

I never liked Beast Wars or the characters from it, but it's good the folks that did like it are getting some new Beast Wars figures that aren't $100+

Not to throw shade on the other like, 2 guys who did video reviews on this figure but I really appreciate how thorough you were, particularly with the ape mode and it's 2 different configurations. Either upright or knuckle walking, his ape mode looks great! Definitely lookin forward to gettin him for my collection.
