Transformers Kingdom Voyager Class Dinobot Review

I’m so happy to have this figure in my collection. Dinobot is currently my favorite fidget item for Teams/Zoom meetings. The transformation of this figure fits very well with the primal noise Dinobot makes when he transforms from beast to robot mode… the complicated transition and primal yell is very fitting with the character. I always felt like Dionobot chose a complicated and painful transformation because having powerful beast and robot modes was more important than comfort. Optimus Primal on the other hand is just a beast of a robot mode and his choice of a primate beast mode is just practical. I enjoy the difference in approaches the two characters have. Both have powerful beast and robot modes but their transformation from one mode to another fits very well with their personalities. Short version… Dinobot tears himself apart to transform and Optimis Primal does the Hokey Pokey.

I was a little worried about the raptor mode because the promotional images for it looked a bit crap, but it actually doesn’t look too bad here

Yeah I know this figure isn't perfect but I don't care, I'm just a sucker for dinobot. Dinobot is my favorite transformers character of all time if you couldn't tell.

At least he has the correct colours unlike the generations dinobot

The actual Raptor head actually becomes the chest unlike the masterpiece version

Who cried watching "Code of Hero?" I cried when I first watched it and I still do today. Best written transformer character.

I think we need to remember that the figure is inspired by “Beast Wars”, but made to be accurate to the Netflix series. Therefore to critique it with regards to “Beast Wars” only, is ultimately not very fair. I love it! Love your reviews as well PVP!

I feel like they could have included a spinning gimmick for his tail weapon just like siege springer’s propellers.

The collector cards are random. Not every Dinobot will have a Dinobot card.

Easily my most anticipated Kingdom figure. Move over unnecessary Kingdom Ultra Magnus!

Other than the arms, this figure is very impressively accurate.

Dinobot, is my second favorite maximal from the beast wars cartoon.

The best character on the Beast wars finally has a good, accurate, and readily available and affordable toy in a mainline TF series!

I loved that raptor head is used in the transformation rather than just hiding it inside like the mp version

As amazing as Jurassic Park is, their interpretation of Velociraptors is definitely not the gold standard. Real Velociraptors would have been around the size of a turkey and covered in feathers. Dinobot's skin texture still looks fantastic though and I CANNOT WAIT to get him!

Picked up this guy over the weekend. I have heard all the complaints and I don't care. Dinobot is freaking fantastic. Head sculpt alone is worth the money for this figure.

Not being able to kick back is becoming a worring thread for Kingdom, but Dinobot looks cool

Great looking figure overall. My only gripe are the raptor mode wrists. The hands should’ve been sculpted with bends in the fingers instead of straight down. Sculpted bent fingers on a ball joint at the wrists would’ve been perfect.

You keep saying "i don't know how he/she will look in the show" I think they scan the toys so then they can be in the show, or the show is based of the toys, so the characters will look almost exactly like the toys, just like Siege and Earthrise

I preordered Primal, Cheetor, Dinobot, Airazor, and Rattrap. Only Optimus and Cheetor have arrived and coincidentally, they both came with a Dinobot card so now I have 2.

Rattrap and Dinobot was always a good combination. There interaction is always the best in the series.

i thought the aesthetics of this figure came out great! i might have issues with the dino mode and transformation, but i'm keeping my hopes high for this figure... well done as always bro 👍🏻😀

His backpack would've looked better if the rest of the tail would've been accurately incorporated into his weapon.

just got him today with Inferno and i have to say i like him more than i thought i would. i will probably keep him in robot mode cuz the raptor mode doesn't look as good as the robot mode. i hope they put out an upgrade kit for those raptor hands. great review as always.

This is exactly why I got the amber collection Raptor Echo because she’s a little close to Dinobot.

This year is going to be RID 2001's 20th anniversary so if HaTak doesn't make figures of it I will riot.

I can see upgrade kits making bigger muscles to clasp around the the upper arm indents. Can see new dino claws and either a golden disk or new sword

9:57 i like how the interiors were also sculpted with the skeletal structure, and that golden joint too. Personally I share the same opinions that the robot arms are indeed scrawny and offsets the personality of the character. The raptor hands are still quite oddly long though I’m sure third parties will immediately roll out better hands real soon

Great review again my friend. I know nothing and have seen nothing of beast wars. I just grew up on the originals but loving adding these to my collection. I started again with the release of the siege line. This guy looks great. Just wish the uk was a little sooner with releases.

One of the greatest figures from this really great line. The jewel on the crown. Of course he Has issiues but for this price you've got Dinobot near to his masterpice incarnation. A must have for me. Already got it on a preorder.

Bro Dinobot is one of my favorite Beast Wars characters out of all of them and I have one good idea for your next video you should do a video like you did with your studio series collection videos but for your kingdom figures and you should add the Beast Wars theme to it

This figure is an absolute godsend. There was no way I could ever afford the Masterpiece (never pay Hot Toys prices for anything less than a Hot Toys), but I have wanted a show accurate Dinobot for 25 years. At long last I have a figure worthy of the most honorable hero in Cybertron's history. I know the raptor mode is a bit junky, but all other mainline Dinobots had terrible beast modes along with a ridiculously inaccurate robot mode. This is probably the least offensive beast mode combined with a robot mode second only to the masterpiece at 10× the price. I cannot thank Hasbro enough for this.

The robot mode feet in raptor mode are the biggest issue. They could have hidden them better. Obviously, it still looks better than the original having his whole legs for a torso.

It’s a good figure, a proper update to a beloved character. I have to say, I accept that Beast Modes will always have kibble, there are always going to be compromises for that. But they couldn’t engineer the robot feet better in Beast Mode? It just sticks out waaaaaay too much on an otherwise beautiful transformation.

For those who dont care for the collecters card, dont throw it away. Instead, cut out the golden disk on the back of the card. And BOOM! A new accessory to recreate dinobots death with

Still a bit thicc but him and Galvatron along with Cyclonus and maybe Scourge are on my hope-to-get list. Galvatron has an awesome design, Cyclonus due to MTMTE, Scourge cause I’m a completionist and Dinobot is my favorite BW character.

Awesome review as always bro. I really like this dinobot derpy dino mode and all. Rest assured a third party will make better hands, filler, and a spinning attachment.

I could see 3rd parties making an upgrade kit with bulkier shoulders and less lanky arms, since the whole arm assembly is just on there with a mushroom peg.

This thing looks great and I hope that some beast wars character in the future comes with the golden disk.

My Transformers character finally gets a fantastic mainline figure. I can't wait!

I can see aftermarket parts that could fix his hands and his circumcised tail, but he is overall an awesome figure!

Not a bad figure. Again I could probably replace the hands with my own models if I was bothered to do so and maybe paint the front area to blend inmate but looks like a good figure. Probably gonna be a miss for me since I've already got the t rex Megatron coming which has close to 0 robot kibble and I love my Optimus primal.
