Transformers LEGACY Evolution Voyager Class LEO PRIME Review 

I am so glad all of the deathsaurus extras have been unlocked. The throne will look great with some other figures. The living metal destroying cannon is a huge plus as well.

Finally Leo Prime is now finally getting a proper toy that isn't an actual copy of another Transformer but instead of his own copy which feels fitting since legal Prime is such an amazing and cool character

For the record. That's not the Matrix, but an Energon Matrix. A talisman derived from the original Autobot Matrix that was unknowingly bestowed to all supreme Autobot/Maximal commanders by Vector Sigma during the beast era.

I actually like the more neutral expression. Makes him look wise and majestic.

Lion head notwithstanding this is a shockingly good version of this character considering its meant to be retail level. I was expecting there to be a lot of compromises because Leo Prime is an insane design, that masterpieces transformation gave me nightmares. But this one is just complex enough to look ok. The fact the biggest complaint is the aesthetics of the head and not it being a kibble nightmare makes me feel safe buying this when I can. Its just good to see that this guy has enough respect to stand on North American shelves with everyone else now and doesn't have to be a niche "other guy" anymore.

Can you imagine seeing Primal, Leo, and Optimus fight along side each other in ROTB?? 😳

Pretty cool figure overall. The lion mode face is pretty much the weakest part for me as well, but I do agree a little paint could go a long way. Some pupils, a little shading around the eyes and maybe some lines to indicate a scowl would quickly make him look more determined or ferocious and less like a poor, shell shocked pussycat. That and maybe some tooth pieces to make his fangs more pointy.

6:35 that transformation is originally used on Dragstrip. So therefore it’s cool that at least other transformers have the other transformers transformations as part of there own transformation

I had the original one, and while awesome, this one does justice to it. Here’s hoping they do a Big Convoy

I'm so excited to put Leo Prime next to Primal. Hopefully they'll do Big Convoy so we can have all three Maximal Convoys.

Y’know… I was actually thinking of sitting this guy out, but I’m now glad about seeing that transformation! Lion head still looks pretty sad but Leo Prime has a lot of great stuff going for him! That transformation is complex and well thought out and I didn’t see anything boring about this guy at all! Thanks for showing this one!

I think the biggest negative to the face is NOT the eyes, but instead the muzzle length. If the face is more compact I feel it would work leagues better, less empty space.

I'm really impressed at this. For a Voyager it's really quite good. That lion mode face definitely needs paint. I'm looking forward to seeing what some customizers do with those eyes to fix him up a bit, but I'll get this for sure. I love Lio Convoy and this one is right up my ally.

Fun Fact: Leo Prime is the one that started the Convoy Line (basically about Autobots/ Maximals with the same face as Optimus Prime or Convoy as he is known back then in Japan, that also includes there Nemesis Counterparts)

I think despite the visual quarks, I still love this thing. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna pick it up when it comes out along with Tarn and maybe even Hot Shot

curious question, do you have or have seen metalhawk, and if so, is the head a mix of pretender shell and inner robot like the other pretenders or is it more the innerbot?

Oh my gosh, Leo Prime a.k.a Leo Convoy is so fantastic 😊! Despite his lion face 🦁 not really ferocious looking for my expectations 😐, however i still like this figure ☺️ because it is so long time i hoping to get Japanese Maximal like Leo Convoy in Transformers mainline, so i okay with that 😉. I love this Evo-gimmick and other gimmick on Leo Convoy 😁. Hopefully we can see more Japanese Transformers Beasts War in near future, especially Deathsaurus 😊. Great video, PrimevsPrime 🤗.

The Evo Fusion gimmicks are basically same features the original Lio Convoy had... I wonder if they'll give us the purple dragon Galvatron now...

You should compared this with the Big cats of Beast Wars. Like Tigatron and his mutated version. You missed a opportunity to do that but still awesome review

I've wanted a Lio Convoy since the original figure but I never liked any of the versions that came out over the years but this one looks pretty cool. Feels like the color of the mane could be a lil darker but I assume it's a gold plastic thing right? There gots teh be a better way.

Like this figure. The transformation is miles above Optimus Primal from Kingdom. But lion-mode really looks like someone's been hitting the catnip.

I love how Hasbro have really pushed to make the Legacy figures the best they could be, Tarn being an example. Lio Convoy/Leo Prime is a good looking voyager, he even might be better looking than the Masterpiece one?! Overall he’s a cool looking figure in both robot and lion modes and can’t wait to get him soon, also hope for more BW figures down the road very soon!

The lion head takes a bit to be as close to show accurate for robot mode which is sad but it is what it is. Also when it was first revealed someone had posted it’s based on a lion that actually looks that derpy

The lion head really is a let down. The robot mode looks great. I'm not sure If I'll be adding him to my collection. I would like to see them do a Beasts Wars 2 Galvatron.

He's a pretty good figure despite his flaws. The lion mode's face, shame it's not as good as the box art.

Man, hasbro are killing it with these figure lately, first Tarn now this, honestly the only thing bother me is how those white plastic gonna last before yellowing you know, is hasbro already fixing the yellowing issue, if not is such shame this figure gonna yellowing just couple month later...

Lio Convoy/Leo Prime looks very nice, but I'm waiting for the Nemesis repaint in Wave 3. Also that lion has seen some stuff, judging by how his face looks.

I just picked this guy up this weekend with a studio series rumble and I absolutely love everything done with this figure aside from the ankles, (could really have used an ankle tilt) despite usually hating beast formers, but I adore the sculpting and weapon storage

This guy would look PERFECT alongside Tigatron, Cheetor and Nightprowler. Add Shadow Panther and the aesthetic would look sweet! Hmmm....that's an idea me thinks.

Kiki fix loose joints should work on the knees. I've got an Mp10 Hasbro version with super loose ankles. If Kiki can fix that, Kiki fixes everything else :p

Honestly I kinda wish the shoulder pads could come off. They interfere too much with articulation, when making the head into a removable shield couldve worked a lot better.

I found the transformation super easy. I was sure I was gonna fuck it up at some point, but I got it all the steps in a few seconds aside from hiding his face in alt mode, no instructions.
