As cool as this was, i understand why it was cut. First off, it makes Prime look mental. Going out looking for a fight and then executing his enemy point blank. Remember, in the original movie, Prime was the one who held off from shooting Megatron and it was Megatron who executed those who couldn't fight back. If your average person who knew sweet fa about transformers, Prime would be looking pretty bad. 2. This scene is somewhat unnecessary. It doesn't tell us anything beyond giving us a cool fight, which the movie is full of. 3. Pacing. We just had a cool fight with Apelinq and Scourge. Having another right off the bat rather then spacing them out might screw up the pacing. That said, this scene is pretty cool, so i can totally understand why someone would want to keep it in.
Except optimus wasn't looking for a fight. He's been hunting down decepticons for their ships so that he and his group of stranded autobots could return back to cybertron. The complete scene has transit showing optimus a hologram of autobot soldiers being executed on cybertron which shows us, the viewers, why prime is so desperate to get back home so it's no as unnecessary as you think. I think it goes great with the Maximals scene as there's parallels. Both factions had to leave their home worlds because of a greater evil consuming it and both scenes show us what Optimus and Scourge are capable of.
Nah, I disagree with every statement u made The pacing would be perfect, after the maximal scene with Apelinq We finally know what happened to the autobots after bumblebee movie And second, no It doesnt make prime look mental Watch the scene again Prime ASKED transit to give up or ve destroyed before fighting He fighs with his bare fist to make him understand his terms Is only after he is in danger that he draws his blade and finishes him And even then he tells him "last chance" Bruh
Hey, you gotta give it to Transit though. He stayed committed to his disguise for presumably a while, even being driven by a human and letting it happen without killing him immediately.
For our sins we deserve eternity in hell, but God loves us so much he came as Jesus to pay the price of our sins through living a perfect life for us, his death and his resurrection so we can be forgiven and receive eternal life if we follow and obey him in faith FOR LIFE , Jesus loves u and desires to have a personal relationship with you of love, peace, redemption and obedience ✝️ May Jesus bless you, repent of your sins and turn to Christ before it's too late 🙏🏿❤️
Not really because if you look at the bumblebee movie and how the transmission was stopped transit even being on earth wouldn't make sense which is why it was deleted
But transit being in this scene would let the audience have a better understanding early in the movie, but it would make Optimus more salty than he already is
@@haydentang3981 but you already get that in the theatrical cut of rise of the beasts because it's self explanatory just with his tone and his behavior
@@Blitz4086 mannn this would’ve changed the whole tone for the movie..we’re supposed to assume Optimus isn’t happy they’re stuck and that they wanna desperately leave..this shows us that we know this ain’t Optimus so he must really need this to work..also it would bridge his character arc we saw throughout the movie
@@CMMD564this just makes me think, hoe do decepticons even know primes on earth? Cuz bumblebee n charlie stopped the transmission that shatter tried to put out. This is cool but it don't rlly make much sense
@@ThaBababoey I’m thinking bumblebee stopped the transmission but prime was the last one to leave cybertron so it’s possible they tracked him or knew which galaxy or solar system he ran to it’ll be something simple as to how they know..and maybe now transit got the signal out 🤷🏽♂️ but idk what they’ll do next
Wow this scene is great because it showcase why Optimus acts like a psychopath, he has lost everything he cannot go back to Cybertron an fight Megatron, the Decepticons outsmarted him, and still he tried his best into not killing Transit he gave him 2 opportunities seriously who thought deleting this was a good idea?
@@thepleb5652basically, the person felt it wouldn’t make sense to show a fight between Apelinq and Scourge, then a fight with Optimus and Transit, then switch to the calm scene with Noah
@@Tabi-Kun bro, we could've had the fight before the girl (says a lot about the movie that I cant be bothered to remember the human cast names) activated her half of the transwarp key
@@phoenixfire7157 that’s what I’ve been saying. Maybe show Elana (I think that was her name??) activate the transwarp, then switch to the bus driver pulling in with Optimus pulling in too, then have the fight play out and then show Optimus see the transwarp key get activated. (Only change would have to be removing Optimus’s monologue about “I have started from prey, to hunter.”)
Optimus Primes encounter with Transit could occur a couple minutes before the key is activated & he contacts arcee, after fighting him, like a bad guy before Scourge shows up & establish him & Unicron as the main threats in this extended cut
Thats what I love of this scene. 1st. Sets up Optimus' arc, it may be "violent", but he did gave transit more than one chance to surrender. Wouldve been sick if Transit said: "All hail Mega-" and then Optimus shot him 2nd. Shows how powerful Optimus is even compared with bots of his size.
This is why im likening these new decepticons and autobot vehicle mode designs, with the bay films almost every autobot/decepticons vehicle modes are really expensive Sports/muscle Cars or military/police vehicles but with these new movies they aren’t afraid to make a decepticon a city transit bus or a Volkswagen van.
60% were still sports vehicle mode... Porsche, Nissan Skyline gtr, Chevy Camaro, Ducati 916 (114hp which is a lot for a bike) so there is no big difference between back then and now
Hmm pretty sure bubble bee camoro old car is literally same one he use in 2007 till an upgrade also deception xhoicong military or proper disguise to get to strick places make sense.
Even if this is now a deleted scene, it puts the whole ROTB movie in a different perspective. It really explains something I had not understood when watching it. Optimus killing Decepticons is just a hazard of his role as Autobot leader. Parts of this scene look unfinished and improperly rendered. It still explains way more than deleting it ever would have. I always have wondered why Optimus didn't get full transformation effects in the movie when he was on his way to rendezvous with the other Autobots. Thank you very much for posting this!
Yeah, and if you're only watching the film for entertainment, meaning you don't know anything and just want to watch a fun film, they probably wouldn't like Optimus' character for being all salty and moody all the time. But it would be worst if he didn't develop well at the end of the movie which thank goodness he did.
I would've added this to the calling all autobots scene instead of deleting it. That whole fight happens, and when Elaina lights the beacon from the traswarp key prime, he sees the beacon after killing Transit, Optimus says, "calling all autobots" and then everything else happens.
@@sowplayz8752 they should have left it in. sets the tone nicely for Optimus that the war had changed him into a more grittier leader who does what needs to be done.
Everyone is giving Transit credit for lasting as long as he did, but no one is giving him credit for destroying his own ship to keep Optimus from leaving earth.
@@JallguarthedestronIt’s a series about war. They need to stop thinking about the kids. Characters like Tarn have done unspeakable actions in the TF lore
@@JallguarthedestronI would've loved to see that! Gives better perspective on the time (7 years) that they've been there. Who's came for them and how many they've killed
Its not even fucking violent, im sure audience who screen tested this movie for some reason (instead producers themselves) proves that this trash kid audience who were there are just kids and disgusting LGBTQ supporters or whatever who thought this scene is dark, get the fuck out to disney if you dont like normal scenes like that, this opening scene is far more better, in matter of fact, at least we would see at least 1 decepticon, and honestly i prefer decepticon vs autobots instead terrorcons or freaking unicron minions
Its kinda nice how even a few obscure characters were almost given a spotlight. Even if Transit didn't make it into the final cut of the film, he was still considered. Not sure if I would call Nightbird an obscure character, but they gave her big screen treatment which was also nice.
I love this reboot. It shows that you win some you lose some. You take a hit and then you hit them back. Even tho Optimus is really powerful, he's not invincible. This gives us balance. Just wished they included this in the movie so we could've seen this fight on the big screen.
they alr did with prime, bee, and even primal (scourge is coming too) so why not this? ngl tho i was expecting a train bot based on his name, but then that'd ruin astrotrain's potential cameo in an upcoming film
@@cyberextreme86 Why apelinq commander?? And stratosphere supreme class??? Stratosphere need a commander class And apelinq a voyager class, because he is same as optimus primal without transwarp key
Narratively and tonally speaking, yeah, this scene definitively had to be cut. Having Optimus kill Transit right out of the gate with no build up to his character would paint him as bloodthirsty. The pacing of the final version of the film does a good job of painting Optimus’s character. Bit by bit, scene by scene, the audience gets to slowly understand why Optimus is so on edge. He just wants to go back to Cybertron, and so many events just prevent that from becoming a reality.
also don't forget that originally Optimus took Transit'S body and throw it into river under bridge. When his body fell to the bottom it shows many decepticon bodies that Optimus threw there.
I think this scene could've worked well in the movie if Transit had talked a bit about how Optimus failed and now his hiding on this barren rock after waging a war and letting thousands die. Would've added to his guilt and how he felt in the movie and made it a bit less brutal.
I like this scene not because of the fight, which is cool and all, but the exposition is honestly really important and would have made the movie way easier to follow.
I like how this movie introduces Optimus. He’s more desperate than he should be, but he’s still not above negotiating peace when he can with a Decepticon. He’s just frustrated
Dude I can't get over this sence. Just SOOO clean and waits to say hunter and with the thunderstorm. 😊 Just the vibe is there they really did a good job with the cut scene.
I was expecting to see the hologram and the dead Decepticons in the river. Hopefully, we see that in the Blu-Ray because I did hear this scene was finished. Looking forward to the release.
Fun Fact: They removed this because: 1: They thought that Optimus’ character was too inappropriate and 2: After the fight, Optimus would be seen dragging Transit’s body into the Hudson River, where we would see other Decepticon bodies. They thought that it would be inappropriate so they cut it from the movie.
I get why they deleted this scene, it just makes optimus more somewhat scary and he just seems so mental and scary, and he just seems like he Woudn't care if someone died.
I wish this was in the movie. It shows Optimus' lost state of mind and explains why he is the way he is throughout the film. And for him to accept dying on the planet at the end would have been a more powerful statement because it's clearly what he was afraid of. Without this scene, neither Optimus as a character or the movie as a whole really works. This movie had its moments but it was ultimately not much of anything at all to watch.
This scene gave much nicer context to Optimus’ motive of harm. The only context we get to the more of the self defense route in the movie is Elena’s analogy of seeing him like a big brother protecting his own. But on the forefront Prime once again looks like a cold blooded killer. This scene verbatim both tells AND shows he’s not just some cuckoo PTSD war veteran.
as much as I agree with another comment's remark about it being a little too "murder crazy optimus" and that it was understandable that they cut it from Rise of the Beasts, I've gotta say it somewhere- this makes me wish we just got another film following the autobot and decepticon conflict as it progressed in the strenuous circumstance of being trapped on earth and out of touch with the other autobots. Rise of the Beasts feels like they just skipped straight to all the gimmicks with Unicron and the beast wars characters, big flashy things to get people's attention. I would love a far more grounded "freedom fighter struggling for their people" film from this franchise.
Bruh litteraly shatter drokick and blitzwing go to earth to find autobot,it deleted because the early screening audience found it dark and the director cut it.
props to transit for atleast letting the innocent rider off first. the war should only be between cybertronians, should be little to no collateral involving smaller more fraigle life forms like us
i never even knew we had this beauty of a deleted scene, it was really well made and clearly was already in production to be put in the movie until it was scrapped. it wouldve been cool to see it in the movie but i feel like they were mixing the bayverse prime with the G1 live action prime and even tho i love them both i love them as two seperate primes, not mixed into one. this wouldve just made rotb prime the war criminal prime from the bayverse. this was really well executed though and im glad we got it as a deleted scene
Optimus/Peter Cullen: "I am Optimus prime, leader of the autobots...Or what is left of them." "Seven years ago, we fled Cybertron as it fell to the decepticons." "Our enemies followed us, and in search of safety, I led as many as I could here...earth." "now we live in hiding, disguised. Knowing if we are exposed. The people of this world will seek to capture and destroy the last of the Autobots." "We cannot stay trapped on this planet any longer. So to find a way home. I have turned from prey... to hunter."
That makes an continuty error, in the Bumblebee Movie, Charlie and Bee avoids Shatter and Dropkick to send a distress signal to the Cons', meaning that neither Megatron knows of it.
bro they even acknowledge the time skip and the lore better and it makes the autobots introduction make more sense, the movie we got felt so spliced together and messy also this was a way better opening then what we did get
One thing that this scene's inclusion in the film would've fulfilled is that size doesn't make much of a difference Optimus might've defeated Scourge at the end of the film, but until then, Scourge bested Optimus throughout. Transit's much bigger than both characters yet Optimus, despite the rough hits he got, defeated Transit within a minute
Even if this is a deleted scene, i kinda hope it means the decepticon main forces will show up soon, i need more of that soundwave, shockwave and starscream design, also cant wait to see megatron
I certainly don't like too see Optimus getting dark; had enough of that from Bay, and I think the story concept can be handled better. That said, I like Transit. I don't think buses are an alt-mode we've seen used much, if at all, in the last few generations.
They should've kept this scene. It would've made the movie better and explain Optimus's attitude and motives. Many say they cutted it because it would ruin the pacing, from starting with the first fight in the movie and then suddenly cutting to another fight. But like I saw someone explain here, the easiest solution to this would've been to move this scene exactly after where (I forgot her name) activated the key. Optimus finds and fights Transit and then sees the beacon. God dang it man. This movie could've been great😞
