Well unlike Bumblebee's new form in AOE and Megatron's new form in F.O.C It is uncertain when Optimus acquired his new form between WFC and FOC Which would mean he could have easily acquired it after WFC was finished. Well we're not sure really as there was one comic which linked them to the Transformers Prime series called "rage of the dinobots". Plus there are conflicts in story between the games with G1 and the games with Prime so it could really be considered as it's own universe.

It's part of the Prime Universe. That was confirmed. WfC and FoC are considered to be anyways. Not sure about this game...
