Cliff all the Cybertronian alt modes are weird. But it’s an alien alt mode and not an earth alt mode. Hasbro Just took advantage of the fact that they can basically do whatever they wanted with it.
I like to think of it as a satellite, a la ROTF. The tape deck mode will always be a classic, but like Megatron being a gun, he needs an actual vehicle mode. Drop ship is cool too, but what's stopping him from being a dropship/satellite hybrid? This is the Prime influence talking, where he's way more than capable of being a physical threat, but he's a spy first and foremost.
Perhaps the only time I actually NEED a figure or else I will die. Lamp post alt mode as an homage to G1 is brilliant. Who the freak would suspect that a random lamp post might be actually spying on you. Love this figure.
When Soundwave was a lad he ate four dozen eggs every morning to help him get large. But now that he's grown, he eats five dozen eggs. So he's roughly the size of a barge.
Also, the fact that you put a figure like Siege Megatron as your fourth favorite of the four Voyager class figures speaks volumes about how well this subline is being executed overall.
Aidan Harris but this figure is in a line called war for Cybertron which is a line of figures that are on Cybertron so the figures are in Cybertronian modes a suv is a type of earth vehicle
I can picture the alt-mode moving fairly slowly above a battlefield laying down a heavy barrage upon the hapless autobots before transforming into robot mode and crushing all who remain
HEY BALTMATRIX....That grey laser gun that Soundwave has is Megatron's back shoulder gun. :D Just plug it on the back side of Megatron's shoulder and he has a profile closer to the G1 cartoon. ;D
I love how his left fist has the finger sticking out. allowing us to pose his arm raised up and look like he is pressing his eject button himself to release the tapes.
Hmm, on Casseticon shielding, I believe this quote to be appropriate. "We are ablative armor! Our life is boring, then briefly exciting, then over! We are ablative armor! Our life is boring, then briefly exciting, then over!" It does feel like a bit of a waste to give them a weapon mode and have it just be a handle on a cassette; give an actual weapon or armor mode to them and pulling all the Casseticons would essentially give you something between Weaponizers like Cog and 'super modes' like we see with Armade Megatron and Tidal Wave or, well, almost every Optimus Prime for Soundwave. Of course, they are up against some pretty severe restrictions regarding what they can fit into a cassette...
saw this on another vid, but a nice touch is left arm has enough hand articulaton that he can extend a finger out, and then can press his own tape deck button. a really neat little extra for the figure

Yeah, I found Soundwave at my local Walmart today, along with Sixgun, Megatron, Ironhide, and Cog. So it depends on where and when your stores get the figures. Also, has anyone found the Decepticon Spy Patrol yet at any of their local stores yet? Because I got Soundwave today and without Ravage and Laserbeak, he feels kind of incomplete, just let me know. @@aaronf4463 huh I just looked it up and it says that Soundwave is part of the wave 4 and won't be out until May 26th and his cassettes are part of wave three so I guess I will have to either look around or wait untill then.Unless Canada has different release dates than the U.S
ive had laserbeak and soundwave for like a month now ive never noticed the foot pegs on soundwaves arm until this video haha ive just been using the peg on laserbeak
Being a deployment ship he should be tough and have some heavy guns for clearing the "drop zone". I would call him a "Drop ship", can't wait for a Rumble and Frenzy (fingers crossed) Ratbat and Buzzsaw would be nice too.
Well ive got Starscream and Soundwave preordered and will enjoy both immensely. my goal is to collect the entire line because Siege is too good to skip!
Ravage and Laserbeak just look like rectangles to me and not cassettes. I kinda hope he's repainted into the Bumblebee Movie Soundwave with a darker blue and gun metal grey and also red visor.
Also, that is supposed to be cybertron mode lazerbeak, from the pilot. cuz. ya know. for whatever reason the animal mode is changed but not the giant cassette alt mode
His alt mode looks like some sort of troop transport/landing craft/APC. Makes sort of sense considering he's mostly a commander and not a frontline unit.
Idk if it was just mine but for the concussion blaster when it merged into the staff sort of thing the grey gun was to small to hold the concussion blaster to it so it just fell off each time I also had a Bent peice on the leg that why you flipped out the bottom panels it would be bent upward on one side but it didn’t realy matter cause I just love how much it looks like the original g1 figure
