Trays are not as easy to keep things secure as one would think. But it seems like you guys did a great job. Though instead of using ocky straps to secure your Maxtrax, try using cam buckle straps instead. That way you can securely strap them tight to stop them rattling.
Another great clip guys. Since water is so often limited when camping, I find that it is worth carrying a tub of wipes, they make the job easy and can be used on so many other things. You probably have already done it but the top of that bracket for retaining the table, looked like a fall hazard if you happen to be up in the back doing something.
My family comes from W.A so very much looking forward to the new series . Especially the Margaret river area , i believe it,s pretty incredible . Good luck guys .
Love the simple set up. We like to keep it basic like that too. Also we have two Golden Retrievers. Their panting sounds like a couple of approaching steam trains. Enjoy your trip.
Yes, our labradoodle pants fast and all the time! We also don’t let our standard labradoodle jump in & out of our 4 wheel drive, because they are prone to ACL problems. Love your posts! 🥰🥰🥰
Thats a sweet camp setup! thats basically what mine looks like. but that swag is seriously next level and looks quite robust! The cruiser is an absolutely weapon! looks great! Awesome episode, I cant wait to see how you guys go on this new trip.
You should pick up a hot plate liner from Bunnings or BCF - that way when you cook on the BBQ you don’t have to clean the tray or plate, you’re just washing the lining and protects the BBQ from scratching, rust etc
See how the set up goes when you are on the road and using it, but you may consider some rubber matting on the tray base, which will help stop things moving around, and things like the gas stove sliding around and getting scratches and dents. Also just an observation, wouldn't it be more usual, and possibly safer, to have the camp set up, awning etc coming off the passanger side of the vehicle not the drivers side?
So far haven’t had any sliding but rubber matting is a great idea! And even over 2 years of travelling we never set anything up on the side of the road so don’t think that will be an issue 😊
Love your videos. Hope you get to see Bluff knoll at the Stirling ranges and Castle rock skywalk part of the Porongurup range. Great views of Mt Barker, Albany and surrounding districts.
Thanks so much for watching Simon! We have done Bluff Knoll before but really hope we get a chance to film a bit and see more of the surrounding areas this trip!
great setup guys, interesting that you keep a spare $100 note behind the driver's seat. looking forward to following your trip & seeing how the set up works.👍👍👍👍
Don't know about you guys, but I always get a little tense when setting up ready to go camping...and Nellie always does the panting bit😂. I think it's just a bit of anxiety. Anyway have a great trip camping...from Nellie & Me.
Wow, instant setup! It's taking me forever to fit out my camping vehicle. I looked at buying one of those 3 burner camping stoves ( not bbq) then I had a thought. 3 little pots all in a row, but where does the fry pan go?
Bi carb and white vinegar sprinkle bicarbonate spray vinegar on it and leave til it stops bubbling works a treat. Or in a spray bottle put 2-3 drops earth dishwashing 5:11 liquid, 1 cup white vinegar, 2-3 drops lemon or eucalyptus essential oil and top with water. Spray over bbq and clean. Great way to clean and it’s environmentally friendly
Also if you don’t mind disposable products there oven and bbq wipes for when it’s really bad. That way you have it sorted. Or else a tub of gumption and a small piece of the green cheap scourers do a great job also.
All dogs pant fast. My big goose sometimes keeps me awake at night with his panting LOL. I'm no expert but, I think it's a way dogs help themselves keep cool. Just make sure they have plenty of fresh water to drink.
Awesome rig 😍 just curious if you have a reason for putting the awning and all the important stuff on the drivers side? Normally you would put it all on the passenger side in case you had to set up on the side of the road for any reason, same reason all caravan doors are on that side. Just wondering that’s all ☺️
Thanks so much! To be completely honest we just didn't think about it 😅😂 we've never had to set up anything on the side of the road before though and if we get into that much of an emergency we won't be putting the awning out or thinking about changing clothes anyway 😆
BBQ cleaning is an absolute pain in the bloody arse. Unless you clean as you go, you’ll spend hours cleaning. Nothing wrong buying a new one👌🏻 Most big dogs pant excessively. My German Shepherd is always panting. Just got to remember that is how they let off sweat! The campers coming together. You’d dad is going to be so proud of you mate💪🏻🤗
With my dogs (I have two) I've only observed three things that makes them pant. Both pant when they get hot, and when they get excited to see me after I get home from work (after not seeing the all day). The latter one is also accompanied by fast tail-wagging, lots of spinning, and running around. But one of them also pant when she can feel (or hear) approaching thunderstorms. She (Pepper) hates them. But the male (Olly) seems fine with storms. In your case, it could be heat related. How hot can it get in the canopy while travelling on a hot day?
@itsJackandMegan ok, i found it with mine. i use a themo fan to pull the air in and have the mechanical fan as well that keeps my temps down . I'm base in Queensland
