Hey Everyone,
Today we are continuing the rabbit hole that is the garage build. If we want it to be an efficient place to continue our car builds, we need to make some big changes from the state it's currently at. On today's list, we need to figure out wall insulation and if we want to bring the windows back or not.
Thank you for watching,

This is basically me right now as I'm getting deeper into my e30 wagon restoration. I'm building out my garage with a proper work table, better lighting and a 2 post lift amoung other things . So much to learn and so much second guessing. But what you said about just doing and learning is so true. Also true that it's hard to sort out good and relevant info from the bad or misguided. Keep pushing!

Looks like I should add some insulation to my garage as well... I'd also do the roof, as I think you'll end up losing lots of heat up there as it rises.
@HunterDirection

I absolutely will do the roof. Sadly we have limited options since the building is so old. The joists and rafters are only 2x4s and I'm honestly not sure how much they would hold on top of the yearly snow

Good job mate the good thing is your learning and you’ll do it different next time out based on your experience. I built a gym in my garden ground up no experience and it still stands today.

love the garage project ! maybe you can install an air compressor in the attic of the garage so it´s out of the way and a little quieter.
@HunterDirection
@HunterDirection 2 месяца назад
An air compressor would definitely be smart! Sadly I have some doubts about the "attic" space being able to really support any weight😅 the whole frame seems to be made out of old 2x4s. Rafters and joists included. So we have some limited options there weight and insulation wise😅

I'd be comfortable with lining the walls. The windows get me nervous just thinking about them.😅

Making mistakes is more valuable than making things right. Making things right is good for the outcome and helps the way towards the goal. Somewhat like it makes a nice CV but CVs don't get you through life. Making mistakes on the other hand helps you in becoming a better version of yourself, in extent making less mistakes in the same area and less mistakes in other areas since the more knowledge you have and the wider spread it is, the more you can categorize and better assess things you've never done. Given you have the required amount of IQ to differentiate between severe mistakes and those, which only cost you a little more money, time and effort. And sadly a lot of people fall short in that regard and are also those the least aware of that fact.
