Dear, I don't give a hoot about my kitchen drawers and certainly don't clean them every week of month. Who cares? My drawers. My trash. I have a four-meter dining table, once filled with kids. Now a meter is cat-work-readers-books-computer and whatever stuff. My table. There is no I-will-look-in-your-drawers-judge, so relax. Your niece and nephew are so brave! I think that is way more important, dear, the love we share with others than a super clean house.

Thanks for the reminder I too need to have a clean out of my toaster! Oh the teeth! I love it! My kids are 39 and 35 and I still have their teeth in a box! I can't seem to bring myself to throw them away! When I was a child the going rate was 6d (2 & 1/2P) per tooth. Blimey! 5 Euros!! I may have to see if I can take some out and see if the tooth fairly is in a good mood! I agree, tables are a magnet for clutter, it's the first place to shove things! Oh Catherine,did you have your niece and nephew staying at your place? I have 2 kids,i tell you from my expierence,even though you have your niece and nephew. Don't worry about cleaning drawers in your kitchen,or cleaning your kitchen when they stay with you. They may not remember what your kitchen looked like,but the time spend with them is so precious for the kids and for you. You'll have some lovely memories one day. I still like to remember the days when my kids were little and life was easier then it is now. My kitchen looks bad at the moment,dishes waiting to be cleaned,but i can't. My daughter and i have covid and feel very weak and tired. I do clean my cupboards but not every week🙈. I love the bees,and this was a very beautiful video. I have a small table by the front door, and put anything there that needs to leave the house, be it library books to be returned, something to be donated, something to be returned to a friend, or the shop. Anything and everything that is meant to leave the house. That way, whenever anyone is going out, it becomes habit to check the table, and take whatever suits the occasion. Catherine, I am sitting here watching You clean instead of cleaning hahahhaa , while my Darling is watching the Beatles video , anyway You have got to the Cutlery drawer and I thought I heard them sing "LEAD ME TO YOUR DRAWER" hahahha . I swear to the Gods that I think they are having a laugh!! When we moved in here to our wee cottage in the woods, I was so happy to see all the drawers in the Kitchen , not so happy now though after 20 years of ramming so much in them , maybe I will tackle one drawer a day and see how long it takes to sort them out .( some of them have been cleaned a few times but I am scared to see what I find in the others , wish me luck

That reminds me I need to clean my kitchen drawers & toaster tray 😂 Our little one is 8 I have those teeth hidden away upstairs in a box with the elf on the shelf 🙈😂😬 The Turvey nature reserve is lovely so peaceful my allotment is just next door it's a lovely spot to enjoy nature! I place an old microwave glass tray under the toaster to catch crumbs. Mine is a small square which fits nicely in a corner. I hope that helps you. 🌺🌲🌺

I might have a tendency to procrastinate clean up tasks even so the mess gets depressing,and the feeling of being incapable to attack,but when I am face with a situation or challenge I have actually no control over, starting and completing a clean up orovided me with an outlet for the emotions and an actual experience of having control over something, in short, cleaning up can be very therapeutic when one feels a bit out off sorts.❤

Great tip to clean the microwave is to put a safe dish filled with water and bit of lemon juice. Heat in the microwave for a few minutes and it will steam up the inside and then you can easily wipe it out! Super easy life hack.

Hello, the tooth fairy keeps the little teeth inside a small box in a drawer in her bedroom 😉 I showed my daughter her box of teeth when she was 16 and she got creeped out lol but my family has always saved the little teeth in a small box. How funny the wisdom teeth in your junk drawer! I saved my kids in a box, but not separate for each child. My son's response to what I did ( now adults) was pretty funny as well. I think I gave them 50 cents or more per tooth? Cleaning is therapy, when all is chaotic having 1 room that represents calm really helps. Continuing to pray for your mom and for you Catherine. Celebrate each day by doing the little things for yourself, it's part of recharging your own batteries.

Idea - rather than leaving things out to remind you of a task, put it on your phone calendar with a reminder. Color coding helps when I save a task. Green for gardening, pink for me, red for important, yellow for travel, etc. You can always reschedule on your calendar when the reminder pops up. And it keeps your areas clear of clutter, which helps with a peaceful surrounding. It has helped me a lot, and my table stays clear! 😊🎉

I grew up on the sixties. Our “tooth fairy” gave us a fifty cent piece. We thought it was magical! Daddy would offer to “buy” the Kennedy half dollar off of us for two quarters. Well two quarters are a lot more money than an old fifty cent piece.🤦🏻‍♀️Once we received a small bottle of bubbles to blow. Mama saved all our teeth in an old prescription bottle and gave them to each of us. I still have them, and I guess they’ll be something my children throw away while asking, “Why in the world was Mama holding on to these?!!”😂 Always giving us something to remember Miss Katherine. Well Catherine I am going to show my age but I used to get an old silver sixpenny piece for my teeth. I still have my cildrens teeth in a little trinket pot and i have my grans gallstones which as gross as they are, I can't part with as it's a part of her. Lovely video again and I love your kitchen. I’m same with toaster!! I have very mild scoliosis so doing something’s around the house takes me more time than it used too as my back hurts even putting washing on the line and then I have to rest. Only plus side of this rain is I haven’t used washing line as much hehe xx

when we built our house 30 years ago, part of the kitchen design included a small desk built in to the cabinetry ... that is our junk space and every month or 2 I'll get fed up with the clutter and have to do a major purging and clean-up ...its only saving grace is that it keeps the clutter off of the counters and table for the most part, but it's almost never actually used as a desk lol. Thanks again for sharing snippets of your days ... and I am thoroughly enjoying the bee keeping - its so fascinating!

You’re definitely not the only one whose dining table gets piles on it , it’s a hot spot in our home and constant working at reducing it down. I enjoy putting cut flowers in a vase and lighting a candle gives it a calm vibe. I laughed too, about the wisdom teeth, maybe take a photo and toss out! This is reminding me that my kitchen needs a good clean as well. I'll be doing it while rewatching this ep. :) I never gave my teeth to the Tooth Fairy and I have all of them in a little oddities trinket box. The dentist had to pull my baby teeth (none of them came out on their own) so kid me was like "I'm not handing this over for 25 cents."

Catherine your drawers are normal. I suddenly sort mine from time to time, not on a regular basis I may add, ha ha. Good clean cleans the mind. Keep the teeth Catherine. I have both my daughters milk teeth still (got them back off the tooth fairy.). I also have my first doggies old teeth that fell out when she got old. Then I have my second doggies milk teeth that came out as a puppy, the ones she didn't swallow. Last of all I have my husband's large incisor he had to have removed. He died a few months later. Sounds ghoulish I know. Ha ha. You are doing well with your lovely bees. Your puss cats are still lovely too. Thank you Catherine for a nice video.

Re: the teeth. When my cat, Maddy, was young she went through a time when she lost her baby teeth and her permanent teeth grew in. I'd usually find them stuck in the afghan she slept on. I kept them for years in my jewelry box. They were so small, so sweet!

I was born in 1976 and I think I only got 10 or 20 pence for my teeth 😂 The cutlery drawer! Bane of my life, I swear it’s like your old pencil case from school where it somehow gathers bits of crud and you don’t know how it got there! Xx

Ok, I’m an expert on the Tooth Fairy- retired dental hygienist here. The TF collects them (fyi the healthier the teeth-no cavities, fillings-makes them more valuable and fetch a higher price). They take them back to fairy land and they are used in construction. The yucky ones are crushed up and used for roads and mortar for brick laying. The beautiful ones can be used for just about anything. Because as you know, enamel is the hardest substance in the human body.

Hi Catherine, glad your bees are doing well, aww your niece and nephew in their bee keeper suits. It is so hard to keep on top of everything when your mum is in hospital, make sure you are also looking after yourself. I’m a 70’s baby and used to get 10p per tooth lol Beautiful sunny weather at your bee meeting, it has rained all day today in South Wales. Have a lovely weekend

I remember a colleague after visiting her sons future in-laws for the first time, told me with some incredulity, that they clean the toaster after each use and out it away in a cupboard. I never knew there were people who do that. They walk amongst us! 😂 I'm like you, Catherine, my toaster gets moved and emptied on high days and holidays. As for the kitchen table, girl if you could see the clutter on mine you wouldn't feel half as bad. I do try to invite a friend or family member to visit every couple of months just to prompt a tidy up, otherwise the clutter would carry on accumulating! Watching the cats watching you did make me smile though. I know you had to do it in your own time after Pepsi and Blondie, but im so glad you have them now. They are such a delight

Catherine have you not heard of the tip to clean the microwave? Cut lemon in half squeeze a little drop of lemon juice into a bowl with some water - then microwave for a few minutes when finished take out bowls and it should be fery easy to wipes of stains with a hot damp cloth ❤

“If I don’t want to, I’m not Gonna !!! 😂😂😂 it’s a never ending task keeping on top of household chores, you take your eyes off it it and it just builds up, no shame Catherine we are all the same I’m sure, life gets in the way of chores😁 best thing is you gave yourself a break the wildlife sanctuary looked so nice, peaceful, my kind of place, also not keen on hoards of people. Never had any wisdom teeth, no wisdom 😅The hive seems to be going well, happy days 😊 Suze. 🤗 x
