This video contains heavy spoilers. I highly recommend trying out the game and/or watching the trailer. Transistor - Launch Trailer ► • Transistor - Reveal Tr... v
That would be an amazing movie if they found the right people to do it. Although I doubt that will happen, and if it did I'm not quite sure anyone could capture the beauty of this game.
+Coffee Jelly I agree, this is the kind of game that could be great as a film if done right. Its story is engaging and complex, but short enough to not have to pack too much in.
+Lightly Bow And that last song... Like how you can't explain to people that haven't played Transistor why you love it, and you hate it? The way he pleads, he knows what she's about to do, and he knows that he can't stop her, but it's not what he wants, it's what she wants. The way he just says "Red, no"...
5:30 can't believe I only just noticed how she drapes his old jacket around the hilt like its his shoulders and he's still a normal person. jeez why you do my like this?
HOLD THE PHONE. The first time you play the game her man says “Hey Red. We won’t get away with this, are we?”. After you finish it for the first time, Royce is the one saying that! Would that mean that the game is but a circle? I have so many questions!
This game broke my heart in so many ways. And you just don't get that happy ending...💔 Just a beautiful piece of artwork all around, from the storytelling, atmosphere, soundtracks, and graphics. I don't play many games, but I love this one so much
I know I’m really late to this thread, but I think what makes Royce so interesting is his philosophical opposition to Red. Transistor is a story about creation, and why we create in the first place. Royce is of the opinion that creation is good in and of itself, and longs for a world where he could express his ideas without anyone interfering. Red, on the other hand, believes that creation is pointless if we don’t create for other people. When she finds herself alone with the power of the Transistor at the end of the game, she still decides to sucks herself into it, as having unlimited power to create whatever she wants ultimately means nothing if she can’t be with the one she loves.
@@mihajlomatkovic739 Late to the party but you can watch the noclip documentary on Transistor's production. At first Boxer was supposed to be the hero, and.. well he was a boxer
Maybe it's just me... but on my second playthrough, the voice of the guy at the beginning... "Ey red, we're not gonna get away with this"... sounded...REALLY different...
SaKuRaVaAnLoNhArT The voice of Royce at the beginning of the second play through kind of hints that the game might just be cyclical. So, no matter what you do you just go through it over and over and over again.
My girlfriend and I said goodbye to each other because I am studying abroad and we also were having problems... I had this game before breaking up but did not quite finished it until last week, and the scene at 9:00 got me completely. We said goodbye but I truly feel our love is not over. She is the love of my life, and I found really strange, and somewhat unbelievable how this scene got to describe us. "Look no matter what happens just... I love you. You know that right? Bye for now... But I will see you again. I will see you again"
This video doesn't contain all the cutscenes in truth. There are variations on the dinner scene depending on what the player ordered earlier. I wonder what the scene looks like if you haven't ordered anything at all, does anyone know?
+JingCake not the soul, but the consioussness that is transferred to data. And I think Cloudbank is real, it's just created from white artificial matter that can change its appearance.
the short dialogue -Hi. -Hey. is there to indicate that they both found each other within the transistor, notice how it can't be a memory because every memory is portrayed in black and white, the music also says "I will always find you" over and over again.
So she can be with her lover in the Transistor. When I initially played the game my question was why she didn't do it sooner, it's kinda sad that everything that she has done to try and get her lover and her voice back has been a colossal failure even though by all other measures their journey was a success. The only thing that mattered, their connection, would never be. At least not in CloudBank.
