Halifax is the capital and largest municipality of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, and the largest municipality in Atlantic Canada.
The main bus transfer area in Downtown Halifax is along Barrington St in front of Scotia Square, where service fans out to cover the majority of the Halifax and Dartmouth areas and beyond to smaller communities in the Region of Halifax as well as the Airport. Express bus service replaces some local bus service during peak times.
