It looks cool but the base price is too high. I would rather get a full size electric car that can give me same amount of mileage and most importantly save my life in case of an accident.
+Angelos Lakrintis If there's a gearbox in an electric car (like this one has) you have to know at what speed the engine is turning so you know when to change gears, just like in a normal car. If this car didn't have a gearbox (like Tesla), it wouldn't need a RPM-meter.
+Archi I mean that this one has the single wheel at the wrong end. You want the two wheels up front for heavy braking/avoidance maneuvers. The i-Road is Toyota's three wheeler.
front looks to wide, reduce those bumper things on the side in the front. seems unnecessary, as is, and doesn't pay tribute to old cars, just makes it look cheap.
Nice car, but way to much money! There’s a lot of startups out there building auto cycles at half the cost. No disrespect to this startup company. Technology in the cell market has really changed the prices have dropped. My hat is off to this company for the innovation and body style!
It looks really nice, although I like it to have 4 wheels & a range of 300 miles, but 25 K for a thing without window wipers? come on I won't buy it, it rains 50% of the time here
This is a real vehicle that could be ultimately built in numbers to that would eventually get the price down. Unfortunately once the Elio scam runs its course it will be hard seeing the public wanting to invest money in another three wheeler company. Elio Motors will leave a really bad taste in the public's mouth.
Another Hipster Toy in the audition room. None of these are making it any more than the Morgan 3 wheeler is an everyman vehicle after many decades. All, like Elio &Smart, marketed as an extra car, but to hipster people w/o children that don't have the disposable income to fund two full priced cars for one butt. A cheap motorcycle is more fun for thrills for $7000 or less, cheaper to insure, easier to buy on a whim and neglect. City dwellers (solo people) would need to pay to park two cars, insurance, tax, tags for two cars. Florida is full of these golf cart fake car toys for the elderly. That is the only proven market, and they only go 20mph so they can drive them on slow streets and bike paths.
Love 1940's car design, but this is just ugly, and bloated. It needs to be shaved down. Eff get an Industrial designer and a Engineer on this thing. The good thing about it though is the back seat space and the option to have it fully enclosed. But that all jacks up the price to $25, 000. You might as well get a regular EV car. One of main ideas of the 3 wheel was to drastically bring down vehicle pricing
