What I found was the rear cv axles , the reflectors on them were rusty and the sensors wouldn't pick up through the rust changed the axles and problem over
That would work for sure, because by changing axles you're changing tone rings as well as they are pressed onto CV knuckle. In my case I didn't want to increase the cost by buying new axles. Bottom line, yes , changing the axles will definitely sort the issue All the best 👍🙂
I'm not sure why your fuel gauge won't work. Your might have wiring issue. There is a possibility that rear wheel sensors cabling and fuel tank cabling are in same wiring harness
Have you cleared codes with obd diagnostic tool? You'll have to run full diagnostic on abs system. There is probably a failure elswhere as well. There are four wheel sensors and abs tone rings, esp module under central console, rpm sensor, steering wheel positioning sensor and more plus all the harnesses and connectors. Try to run live data for individual sensors to try to spot anomaly I hope it helps All the best👍
Mine is in limp mode, abs ring needs changing. Did your car make strange noise from the rear whilst in limp mode, bit like a grinding diff or wheel bearing?
@@jamesmacdonald3090it could be a wheel bearing or even something lodged between brake disk and deflector. I hope it will be easy fix. I wish you all the best with it
I have this problem with my car in limp mode. Abs light was on and code P0501 . Change my tone rings , bearing and hub assembly and wheel speed sensors. My car is still in limp mode … no codes are showing right now. Any idea what else it could be?
Hi, it is strange to still be in limp mode after old codes were cleared and no new codes showing. Did you try to read live data, such as speed of each wheel compared to vehicle speed
@@nick-ip6le you might be too get the car to someone who can read transmission codes. Transmission ecu uses wheel speed sensors to determine vehicle speed, so tone rings and wheel speed sensors have to be good. Also there are sensors on transmission box that could be faulty but not every obd reader can pick that up
I have the traction light and esp light but no ABS light and will it be still be the sensor and why is the engine light and flashing when I turn the ignition on
This version does not have ABS option. Make sure to order version which has ABS option. The scanner used in the video is elite version which is different from the one shown in the link.
@@LivingAbyss12 thank you for highlighting the error. I've just corrected the link for version with abs. I'm not sure how wrong link was posted. Thank you again👍
Sounds same. Plug in obd reader check for codes and run life data stream on wheel speeds. The wheel that is showing 0mph speed has faulty sensor or tone ring. All the best 👍
