To repeat the exercise of the same painting is for me an excellent way to learn. In fact, it is never the same thing but the pleasure of painting is present. I put myself in front of an image that I know, but I approach it with an additional experience, a look or a new attention, but always with the surprise of what it will give. Thank you for sharing your experiences, it is always a pleasure to listen to you and watch your videos, it is very informative thanks for what you do.
I appreciate your tutorials and explanations on how you mix colors and pant. Thank you so much. Beautiful painting I can't wait to try some of the techniques.
This was a great choice to demonstrate atmosphere, lost edges and simplicity. I will give this a try. I have noticed that many of your paintings have a haunting beauty that appeals to many. As always great lesson.
Thank you for another great demonstration! I like that you explain your color choices and how you mix them. I think I will try this with a barn scene. Thank you!!
I tried this one today and it was so much fun to do and I was very surprised and pleased with the effort...please keep them coming...I love your style...I have only started painting a year or so ago and I am trying to loosen up my painting and this really helped...Thank you..
very informative demo. thanks as always. what intrigues me is how you put your take on a photo and the result comes out more expressive than the photo.
Thank you, Rick, for this demonstration. I would be so tempted to add more color and definition to this subject. Learning to control the image that creates the mood takes patience.
I love this painting. I tried it once and it was so-so but I'm going to try it again. Foggy or misty painting are so inquiring. Thank you for the great instructions.
