Thanks A lot bud. i've been struggling for hours trying to solve my 2 track setup and i looked all over the internet. I finally found this video and it showed me how to change my signals to one way, as well as how to setup a terminal so it can receive on either side of the terminal. Your Video just relieved A lot of stress for me :"-D

Hey, nice video. Just wanted to add a tip about the 4 track passing line at the end. I often put the signal earlier in the passing line, that way the train has time to speed up before incorporating to the fast lane. Kinda like when joining a highway with a car. Regards

@AjaxpostPlays Год назад
Hi, thank you. 😊 That is a very fair point and may be even more significant if the lines have very different speed and/or power ratings. You'll want the slower train to be going as fast as it can when on the shared mainline track.

Great guide fella. Comprehensive and very clear, thanks. As far as the alternative platform option: does anybody know if there is a mod (or if it included and I'm blind) for the same functionality in Transport Fever 1?
@AjaxpostPlays
@AjaxpostPlays Год назад
Thank you, that is very kind of you to say. 😊 I've not heard of any alternate platform option for TpF1, definitely not built-in and I've not seen one on the Steam workshop. I don't look at the Transport Fever website much so am not very familiar with the mods there but, to be honest, I would be surprised if any such feature would be possible. 😞 Unless anyone else watching this video knows any different ...?

I have not played this in awhile but been thinking about picking it up again then saw this video in my subfeed and watched it. Is that alternate rout thing new, as I don't remember it being there, I certainly never found it when I played before...but it has been a year or 2. since I last played. I also liked the way point tips you used to keep the truck stops moving in an efficient manner, and the mix speed routes seemed really good as well. :)

Hi, thanks for watching! 😊 Yes, alternate platforms were added in the May 2022 update, a very welcome addition. One of the things I love about the game is the flexibility to design different setups and play it in a variety of ways.

my train networks have been the most confusing things ever with random tracks to cross over and routes of all that spaghetti mess to get it to work
@AjaxpostPlays
@AjaxpostPlays 6 дней назад
Hi, I hear ya! Apparently the best approach is to first design a plan of what your network will look like when it's complete and then build it segment by segment so that it all looks logical, rational, and tidy. Of course, that is not what I do either! With good application of bridges, tunnels, and of course signals it should be possible to create 'simple' routes through any mass of spaghetti track laying. Probably. 😎

you got me playing....big problem though is signaling for slip tracks then huuge X on the tracks...cant use um because i cant signal them
@AjaxpostPlays
@AjaxpostPlays Год назад
I remember being frustrated by the track laying in the first game of this but with plenty of trial and error, and watching other players, finally got it to and have since spent hundreds of hours with the game. So I hope you don't give up on it, there is a lot to enjoy. There are several tutorials on the steam forums and RU-vid which will hopefully help, and I might try to do a video too. 🤔 Good luck!

There a mod for that makes track signalling easier by recommending you areas to put the signs

So i tried to take crud oil to refinery and to take the fuel back to crud oil factory and then from there to city by a truck. But the refinery wont load fuel and the train which unloads crud there. Do we need to have 2 station or double tracks to do so? (All things are encatched)
@AjaxpostPlays
@AjaxpostPlays 10 месяцев назад
Hi. Are you missing a step perhaps? The crude oil must be turned into *refined* oil first and then that *refined* oil can be turned into fuel. A single train could do all the steps, but the second factory must have a route that takes the output to another industry, or town, that needs it. Also remember that it takes 2 crude oil to make 1 refined oil, and then 1 refined oil can be turned into 1 fuel. Hope that helps, good luck!

Not sure if it applies here, but it might also help to check that the trucks you're using can carry that cargo type. For example, some trucks with flatbeds can carry fuel but others cannot. The same applied to covered trucks. You can check which cargo types the vehicle allows in the depot. If the cargo doesn't have a clear path all the way from producer to consumer, it usually won't be picked up at all. That means even though your tanker train can carry the fuel, it won't pick it up and take it to the trucks if the trucks cannot carry it. If the trucks can carry fuel then this should only happen if you've changed the filters for that line to stop them picking up or delivering at some point. It's also worth noting there's a delay in processing materials. If your trains are set to "Load if available" (which is default) then they'll usually leave before the factory has tims to process them into the next type of cargo. This usually isn't a problem since it will be collected the next time the trains comes through, but you often need to let the game run for a while in order to start to see things moving. To stop the train from unloading crude at the fuel refinery you have to use the filters in the line menu, but that's not usually necessary either since trains are often leaving less than completely full from the refinery because it takes 2 crude oil to make refined oil, so you're going to have empty tanker cars somewhere along the line no matter what. It can be worthwhile to maximise efficiency but thats not too important once you have a few good lines uo and running.

@@SineN0mine3 thanks mate, it was some issues with the game I loaded an old save and it worked. But yes sorting by what to load and unload helps everytime

Hi. I am sorry but I do not understand your question. 😕 If it is about a part of my video please tell me which of the video sections it is. If I am unable to help you, I do recommend asking your question on the Steam forum, they are many very helpful people there.

Transport fever, fuel factory refuses to produce fuel, for one of the two lines there, what could be the solution
@AjaxpostPlays
@AjaxpostPlays 6 месяцев назад
Hi, there are generally only three factors to make sure routes can deliver: 1. The loading stop (for the fuel) must be within reach of the cargo source (the fuel refinery) 2. The vehicles transporting the cargo (the trucks, train wagons, boats or planes) must be able to carry the cargo (the fuel) 3. The drop-off stop must be within reach of demand for the cargo (industrial buildings) Assuming the two routes are delivering to different places - there is little value in using two routes to deliver the same cargo to the same town demand. It can take a while for a new route to start taking cargo and if the other route is vastly more efficient the second route may get very little, but usually some. Hope that helps, if not, try asking, with some screenshots on the Steam forum, you should find plenty of folk happy to assist.
