An integral part of Trap is of course the sound of the classic 808 Drum Machine. Its distinctive metallic hi-hat sound and the deep sub-bass of the kick has inspired beat makers since its release in the 1980s. And it has since become a vital part of the Trap-style of Hip-hop. To say the least: In Trap, the 808 is a vital component.
