I wonder what must a new war thunder pilot whos just chilling in his bomber feel when the nearest enemy to him is 2km away and his plane suddenly explodes, being cut in half
Sometimes it’s salt, sometimes it’s just “damn, that guy must be really good!”. I still remember when I got killed by a Stuka when I went head on (im not smart) and was kinda “oh come on, it’s not even a G model”, then I looked it up in the German tree, and realized “oh, it has 20mm cannons”. I find low tier overall is less salty than high tier. You’ll find angry people if someone is really broken, or if someone is just running or trying to gain distance and nothing is happening (people don’t like not being in control of the fight)… people are pretty forgiving in Tier II
Only when you fired you shot did I realise how long it’s been since we actually saw you shoot with your weapons lmao Also I loved that you used a plane with a huge as$ gun because I love those kinds of planes
Japanese flying boat H8K3 is something undescribable - it climbs like Zero (and spawns in 3,5 km above the ground) and carries 10 guns to defend itself (5 of them - 20 mm autocannons). The worst thing about it is it's being a big boat, so it's hard to land on airfield, but it's also hard to sink a boat when it floats in air, you know.
For real though, Japan is quite possibly my favorite nation for fighters. The Ki-43 III Otsu is almost without a doubt, one of my most enjoyed planes of all time.
This is the same thing when playing Japanese tanks, everyone says they are bad but then I get my lineup with the chi he and chi ha long gun and always get in the top three
I was really annoyed to find the early japanese ground attackers had no forward firing guns. Clearly I was wrong since the bombs they carry are meant to be used as one giant bullet.
One guy some long time ago said: If pilot is skilled enough, he can make anything fly. I think it should be: if pilot is skilled enough, he can RAM with anything
I kinda wanna see the dozens of matches where you just got nuked instantly by a single 7mm bullet or had critical shots spark. That seems to be what consists of my WT air experience lately. I miss the damage and flight models from back in 1.29, as opposed to these 'realistic' ones they claim are in use now.
